The address is incorrect the Address and GPS says W. Congress. The correct address is Shelby st. Where the sign is and front door. I tried to find a menu online its not available.

In all honesty, Detroit lacks a good after work hangout scene, so I love that the XO Room opened up with a variety of events to accommodate any mood during the work week. Its located right downtown, with plenty of parking nearby on a Wednesday. I have been a couple of times now, and I love that I am always greeted by an extremely welcoming staff that really work to make sure I have a delightful experience. I highly recommend the lobster mac and cheese... a dish that seems to be vary rare in the area, yet delicious here! The craft cocktails have all been yummy and the bar always has good recommendations when you don't know what to choose. Aside from the beautiful decor, I appreciate the mix crowd they attract both during the week and on weekends. The atmosphere is great for a company party, family get together or just to hang out with friends. The coolest part to me is that the space is connected to Trust nightclub, so on the weekends you can grab a bite, and stay for some fun. Will be back soon!

First, I would like to start out by leaving my positive review before I begin with the Negative. I would like to begin by saying that the atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful. The decor and design is great. XO Room has only been open for about 2 weeks & that could be the reason that my first experience was absolutely terrible. I completely understand that there is a lot of adjustments that need to be made when a new place has opened & the employees have to get acclimated to the environment & orders. This is the first review I have taken time to write regarding a bad experience with a restaurant & with that being said, it shows the terrible experience that myself & 4 others experienced during a bday dinner. At first everything was going great. The hostess or manager ( I am not sure what her position was) was very welcoming. The waitress was very nice & was trying to be welcoming you can tell she genuinely cared. They asked if there was a special event & I informed them that it is my boyfriends bday. We ordered the first round of drinks a total of 5 & the waitress came back with three. She informed us that mine & my cousins drink would be out shortly. 30 minutes goes by & still no drink.I had to get up and go to the bar and ask them why the drink was taking so long. At this point I'm getting frustrated because there is only about 10 people (including us) in the restaurant. so a Tito's and tonic should not take 30 minutes to get. The waitress was trying to be nice about it & gave us a free shot "since it was a birthday". We begin to order food...First just expect your order to be wrong when placing an order for a group of people of multiple items on the menu. I will list what was ordered & my feedback. 1.) GOAT bruschetta which was wonderful I highly recommend getting that. 2.) The Arabian nights: When we ordered this we were brought a totally different item on the menu & did not receive this. We told the waitress and she insisted that item she brought out was that item that we ordered and we told her that is incorrect because we compared the items that were brought out to us & what was on the menu and then she insisted that the item she brought us was the correct one. 3.) We than ordered "The KingPin" which had hair in it and we were told it was a "feather from the chicken" the hair was wrapped around the chicken wing. 4.) the 3 salads & fries were great but the fries aren't even a option on the menu we had to ask for them. 5.) we were comp. for shots but still charged for items that were incorrectly given to us by the kitchen.... how does that make sense?! We were incorrectly given that item!! 6.) we were given a molded lime. 7.) on top of all this the Tito's and tonic we ordered did not even had alcohol in it. 8.) egg rolls were great along with the sauce. 9.) we ordered three steaks and the men said they were good. 10.) we did get a complimentary dessert but they advertise that already when placing a reservation. 11.) there is so much more but i have spent enough time giving my feedback so I do not want to waste anymore. As I previously stated, I have never written a review before but after the experience we encountered i could not help but write a review. This is a new restaurant and I only want the business to improve so future guests can enjoy there experience. I hope that this will only improve the business and help the owners make changes. I do recommend that if you would like a fun night out that you attend the nightclub below the restaurant. I have been a few times and it is one of my favorites downtown.

The food was decent but the place was empty which gave it a weird vibe. Most of the drinks they can't serve yet and the item that looked best on the menu had already been scratched. I'm sure things will improve as they get busier and they stock up more, but for now it's a slow start.
