I absolutely love uptown I’m a chef so when I don’t feel like cooking myself uptown soul food is the BEST in Michigan Hands down!!!!!!!! Stop WHAT YALL DOING AND COME GET YOU SOME DIVINE SOUL FOOD.
I frequent this establishment often, purchasing for an elderly shut in woman who is a former cook. She is always commenting on the quality and taste of each meal. Conveniently located and reasonably priced.

Can get crowded in the lobby and hot. The sides are hit and miss except the bbq fries. I don't want to make anyone feel bad, but that mac and cheese is awful. The ribs for the most part are good though.Updated review as of March 2024: placed a call in order. It took us at least 30 minutes to get there. Place is packed (which is expected on Saturday night).
