Waffle Cafe Detroit Reviews
You are missing out if you have not tried a waffle sandwich yet! My husband and I went to the Christkindl Market tonight and decided to try this place. The Christkindl Market may be known for the raclette but the real hidden gem is this place! We will be back!
The waffle cafe is amazing! Great food and music! It’s a whole vibe. We were able to eat in the lounge area! I really loved the watermelon lemonade and the lavender as well. I ate the trio waffles and did a sweet and savory combo. I enjoyed the buffalo waffle, the banana pudding and strawberry cheesecake waffles. Ohhh weee! Proud of the owners! Larry awesome job man! I also love that this place is actually in Detroit! And Black Owned! Support!
Went for grand opening and ordered a few items. The lemonades are to die for! My favorite is the lavender lemonade yummy! I loved the catfish bites, waffle flight and my favorite was the French toast waffle!!! Friendly accommodating staff, delicious eats and great music… totally a vibe. I’ll be back!
Waffle Cafe Detroit is a black-owned family business that provides an outstanding dining experience with excellent customer service. The menu includes a wide range of delicious waffles, featuring unique options like the chicken bacon ranch waffle, strawberry cheesecake waffle, maple bacon waffle, and fruity pebbles waffle. The waffles are light and fluffy, with generous portions that satisfy. Additionally, the flavored lemonades, especially the watermelon lemonade and very berry lemonade, come highly recommended.
Some may find the sweet waffles a bit too sugary, but the quality of the ingredients remains impressive, even after reheating. The well-seasoned chicken bites and catfish nuggets are favorites among customers. The cafe boasts a cozy ambiance reminiscent of a coffee or tea shop, making it a nice spot to dine in. However, food is made to order, so a little patience is needed.
Parking is relatively easy, with free parking lots available on both sides of the building, though street parking on Livernois can be busy and metered. The cafe does not accept phone orders for carryout; orders must be placed online. Despite potential wait times due to its popularity, the food at Waffle Cafe Detroit is definitely worth every moment, and trying a waffle sandwich is highly recommended.
