We were staying down the street at an Air B&B while in town visiting for the 2024 New Year. We drove by on Friday night and the place looked packed. We enjoy checking out & supporting local businesses in the cities we visit, especially the corner markets or in this case the corner bar. Having grown up in rural America, this was my first real corner bar experience. We are from out of town, and found this place. The owner made us feel so welcome, we decided to come back the next night for the New Years party and had a blast. The food was tasty the drinks were great. I'd become a regular if this place was back home.

My father, Eddie Mesrey (born in Detroit | 1932–1980), grew up in the house that was once attached to Zell’s.
