The Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales + Kitchen offers a surprisingly good space for pizza, beers, and community. The venue features a range of quality beers, many sours, and some of the best pizza in the area, alongside an eclectic array of pizzas and great appetizers. It has a fun outdoor space and a nice interior, making it kid-friendly and good for groups and work parties. The kitchen in Dexter lives up to, and in some ways surpasses, expectations with outstanding beverages, food, and service. While the beers can be expensive, the fried chicken is inarguably the absolute best in the state, making it a must-try. The carrot and butter bean hummus is surprisingly amazing as well. Although the location is a bit remote compared to downtown, it is easy to find and well worth the escape from the village.
