A very bougie supposed Hotspot just outside of Ann Arbor. Went because of the reviews but was disappointed. After being open for only 90 minutes they ran out of bacon. Who runs a restaurant like that? Also got orders wrong, forgot to add tomatoes to a turkey sandwich. Didn't add mustard when requested. Overall just a classic hipster money grab--and this is from a Leftist.
The apple and brie pizza was amazing! The crust is made from sourdough so it gives it a distinct taste. We were able to get beer or coffee from the other side of the building. They do need a garbage table. While we were there, we noticed someone had their chihuahua on one of the tables that you eat at. Great atmosphere.
There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when a bakery doesn’t try too hard to impress—but does anyway. Tucked off the main stretch in Dexter, Michigan, Raterman Bread Haus & Bistro feels less like a café, more like a well-kept secret you want to share only selectively.
