I had a great experience at Olives tonight. Everyone from the hostess (Elise) to our waitress (Emily) exemplified great customer service. A couple of my favorites were the brussel sprouts and the lychee drink. We will be back!
Not what it used to be ☹️
I stopped in for my first time around 1:30. They were moderately busy. Service was excellent. I was seated right away. Ordered the Olive burger, something I’ve always wanted to try, and it was absolutely delicious. Very large meat patties, lots of cheese, sauce was a little runny, but excellent. I had it with the chips, which were also delicious. I’m anxious to return and try some of the other menu items. Highly recommended.

I had a business lunch here with several coworkers, and everything was great. Service was attentive and quick, and the place looks modern without being cold. The caprese sandwich was flavorful without being heavy, and the truffle fries, while excellent, were maybe a bit too rich for me. The quality of the food was excellent, and I’d definitely dine here again.

The website & hours on the door say open till 10:00 pm on saturday. When we walked in at 9:00, we were told they close at 9:00. Please update website & change what’s advertised on your door..
We were excited to try Olive's for the first time. The service was great and we loved sitting out on the beautiful deck. It's not that the food was bad, but it wasn't worth it. The sandwich was on a small burger bun which felt cheap, like the cheapest kind you can get at the grocery store. If you're charging $17 for a sandwich, get Field & Fire to make you amazing bread for it, and don't charge me $2 extra for a few fries. I ended up giving my son half of my meal bc I could tell he wasn't satisfied after his. So, after spending almost $100 on dinner, I ate at home. Bummer.

People were nice and loved the atmosphere but food was meh at best. Came because the French dip looked good but it’s not on the menu anymore. Ordered a lobster roll and truffle fries for lunch. Lobster roll had WAY too many pickled celery and truffle fries were cold. For the price. Go elsewhere

I LOVE stopping into Olives for a delicious bite to eat and a beautiful craft cocktail. Olives is one of my favorite go-to restaurants in the Grand Rapids area that I recommend to others. The sage & goat cheese gnocchi is divine! Comfort food!! There is this mushroom crostini appetizer that is a must-have every time I go there. GO! You won't regret it.

We went there for the first time, it was a family birthday celebration. Loved everything about it, it was a bit warm, but overall a great experience.
We will return! ❤

Terrible food quality. The olive burger had maybe 1 olive on it. The truffle fry’s were old soggy, and half burnt from being reheated.

Eating at Olives was a joyful experience in culinary excellence. It is a must try restaurant in the gas light district. Simple but delicious menu and we are definitely going back. Easy parking and both indoor and outdoor dining. They also have a membership program for wine connoisseurs. We had the burger and the club sandwich and also the Michigan salad. I believe anything you try on their menu you will fully enjoy. And you got to at least try them once the truffle fries. Because of our schedule we were unfortunately unable to sample their desserts but they sounded delightful. Next time for sure.

Giving a 5 star because I’ve been coming here for many years & have had many positive experiences & great food. However , most recent time visiting the service was slow / sub par & not as friendly as I remember. I got the chicken picatta which was good, but the potatoes were under & lacking flavor. Picatta sauce was good but needed more balance - too citrusy. Other than that, the drinks were great & overall enjoyed my evening spent there with Great company.
