I had been living here in Detroit for a year and riding by this restaurant.Today I decided to stop and eat in, Everything was to perfection, great hospitality to make u feel warm & welcome.Spacious areas, Prices under $20 and up.i feel in love with this restaurant Black owned from Louisiana.. plenty of parking free Do stop in if you're ever in the area 10 mile Gratiot on the corner

The restaurant wasn't very busy around 6pm, which on a Friday, during Lent especially, was a little strange, but apparently they have a later crowd, getting busier around 8-9pm. The music was loud, but it was good music, so I can't complain much. Sat at the bar and ordered a carryout, had a drink while I was waiting, and the waitress Ari was very nice. Very helpful with figuring out what exactly we wanted to order. She gave us a taste of the catfish, which was very good!...

Our server was excellent. However , the music being extremely loud , made it hard for me to hear anyone at the table sitting with me. Was a little shocked with the bill. Had I known extra dipping sauce was $5. Each definitely would not have ordered.
