“The bartender Jon was amazing. The food is so good and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I will say that the hostess, Ms. P was extremely rude, and I almost left. I wanted to dine in, but Ms. P said reservations were required. I told her if we can't eat in, then we can order to go. She interrupted me while I was speaking and asked, "You wanted to eat in, don't you?" I almost left because as her being the face of the restaurant, it was not a welcoming experience.
I'm glad I walked away from her and ordered at the bar. She definitely needs a class in customer service.“

The chicken was unfortunately unseasoned and dry, when we told our server Krystal, she replaced the whole meal to go and was so kind about it! “I love this place. The other day a woman came in and Without trying her food tried to say it was disgusting. Made a Big huge scene which caused some customers to leave. I stayed to make sure nothing happened.And now is constantly harassing them and won't leave them alone. The owner and the staff was professional and tried to solve the problem which the lady was not having. Then called her husband and had him come up later that day to harass the owner, And her employees. Now i'm on facebook and watching this lady, Her husband, And her friend harass this business owner. yes It is very important to say that her husband kept repeating he owns his own business. so I am guessing they are doing this because he needs more business? trying to put her out of business so he can get her customers? I was there and this owner should not have to deal with the harassment from them. sorry you have to. keep doing you and all your customers that know you will keep coming back. I know I will.“

“Steve's Soul Food at 1440 Franklin Street in Detroit's Warehouse District, just a couple blocks from the River, is finally back open as of August 20, 2023. I'd prefer 2-3 visits before providing an opinion, but it's definitely worth a try. According to staff, hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday thru Sunday.“

What an awesome choice we made! The food was delicious, the place is quaint and beautifully decorated. The service was top notch. Our waitress was Stephanie and she was amazing! We would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the Detroit area!! My husband had the Lamb Chops and I had the Fish plate. They were both delicious!! A couple next to us had the Shrimp and Grits and the Chicken Plate and they said their meals were delicious also!“

“I attended a birthday celebration at Floods last night. This establishment has been a staple for many years, particularly popular in the early 90s. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the bartender's unprofessional demeanor; I waited at the bar for 15 minutes before I was able to place my order. I had to initiate the conversation by asking, "Hello, can I order a drink?" To make matters worse, their liquor selection was quite limited. When I requested a Patron margarita, the bartender informed me that they did not have Patron and, in fact, very little liquor overall. One would expect a bartender to offer alternatives, but that was not the case. Later on, my daughter ordered three meals. While the chicken was satisfactory, the candied yams were disappointing. I am willing to pay for quality food, but it seems that we often receive subpar offerings at high prices. Am I alone in feeling this way? I am becoming increasingly frustrated.“
