“Detroit soul is possibly the best meal from start to finish I've had in years. Walking in you notice how delicious everything smells, how clean everything is and how friendly everyone who works here is. The food is top notch. The breadding on the catfish fritters made my mouth water, the greens made me want to write home, the mac and cheese was perfectly cooked and the meatloaf was so tender and tasty. Then the dessert! Peach cobbler that made me make obscene noises, the creamy vanilla scoop and the amazing red pop sorbet were bursting with flavorful perfection. I highly recommend going here and trying everything.“

“I went to Velle's Grille yesterday for dinner in the hope of supporting a black owned business. I have no regrets. I had the Turkey Chops with Mac & cheese, collard greens and a side of yams. Good portion sizes. Everything was hot and seasoned perfectly. My meal was delicious. My husband had chicken wings with baked beans and macaroni. He also ordered a burger. He says the burger was delicious and the sides were on point. He woke up and ate the chicken for breakfast and he says we gotta go back lol. Overall we are definitely giving this place another chance.“

“I want to give a shot out to chef dink we had a Repass yesterday And they supply the chicken and the catfish it was amazing that was the best chicken and fish I ever had we had several requests for more. If you are in need of some Delicious food check out The Green Mile grill you can't go wrong“

“Picked up takeout Collard greens, yams and peach cobbler….. this place is the real deal!!!!! Best collard greens I’ve had in Michigan… I’m from Texas and I sure miss collard greens and black eyed peas!!! I wish y’all had hush puppies!!!! And maybe offered chow chow to go with those blacked peas!!! I will most DEFINITELY be back!!!“

“I hardly ever give a 5 star review across the board this place was amazing. I had the turkey chops with fresh made mashed potatoes with asparagus. My home girl had the lamb chops and baaaaby they did not disappoint. Our appetizer was the corn beef egg rolls they were also very delish. Whoever the chef is he/she definitely chefin!!!!! I will be back.“

“MCG entree options are great! The staff is always welcoming and the food is amazing. Their catering service offer fair packages and my guests are always satisfied. I’ve used MCG for several birthday parties (children & adult) and I’ve also had their food at a wedding. Top tier!“

“🖤We stopped in at the last minute on 2.28.26 a Saturday after Autorama. We were famished and they took us in! The food was amazing. I had the shrimp, fries w/bbq sauce, the mac (THE BOMB), and a cornbread biscuit. My guy had a slab of ribs and I didn't hear a peep from him until he was finished!“

“This is a family owned resturant in Highland Park. The food is fresh and made to order. The service is welcoming and feeling your being serviced by a member of your family. There is no indoor seating but when the weather is nice the small outdoor seating space is very nice. Highly Recommend. 😀“
