“We seen this place on the Internet and oh my gosh it lives to the standard for sure the turkey leg was amazingly good and tender. The chicken I had the week before was great. My man said the fish was on point all the sides were good and I’m a green girl the greens were an A+. I do understand it’s a lot of people, but the service to me was a little chaotic. I felt rushed to order and I felt like I didn’t want to ask a question I was gonna get the evil eye.. lol“

“Shundia greeted us with a beautiful smile and was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. I got the catfish, black eyed peas, and collard greens. This is predominantly a carryout restaurant but they do have 4 booths you can sit at if you wish to eat there. Will definitely be going back to try some of their other options.“

“My first time here and I am hooked!

I tried the beef rib slab dinner that comes with two large sides (macaroni and yams) and two whole wings that did not make the pictures since they were devoured in the car! (I paid for one and got two, what a pleasant surprise!) I had to try the dessert, so I bought a large peach cobbler. ( I was also gifted the fried biscuits that were a 10/10).

Nita R hooked me up and really went above and beyond and made sure I would be back. Make sure you take care of her! $$$

“I recommend the chicken, ribs, yams and Mac…. Even the koolaid was freaking amazing! I’m a very indecisive person and when I walked in, I couldn’t choose, so I just ordered everything I knew I’d eventually eat. One rib dinner is def enough for two meals. The wing dings were amazing too! And it travels well. Lord knows that delivery man was very easy on the eyes! Fast, fresh, friendly, SEASONED, authentic food for the soul! Perfect way to end a spa day!“

Nobody in Detroit makes Salmon croquets served with rice and gravy 😋 (my preference over grits)👌with scrambled eggs as good as J's does. “I could eat at celebrities bar and grill everyday! The lamb chops are great with the celebity sauce a must try you won't be disappointed. I normally get turkey chops with a side of mac n cheese and a side of yams and they never disappoint. They know what they're doing with the food so give them a try if you never had it you'll be glad you did. Only thing I wish they would change is taking orders over the phone again because it can be a nice little wait sometimes to get your food after you order in person depending on how busy they are.“

“The food is worth the hassle of waiting. The food is cooked with love and care and you learn that through their consistent good tasting dishes. The meatloaf mashed potatoes and gravy does it for me every time I come in off of a 2 to 3 month stint on the road. I love'em.“

“The food was damn good and well worth the price I will be checking this place out again the ghetto Burger was good it really didn't stand out from any other Burger but it was still good the cheesecake dessert was the only thing I did not like and honestly it didn't even taste like cheesecake was more like Frozen cake so I'll pass on the dessert but everything else that I had was damn good.“
