“Wish I could rate more than 5 stars. I tried the fried chicken, Mac & cheese, rice & gravy, baked beans, and the peach cobbler. There were ZERO misses everything was FIREEEE. I got my food super fast and the customer service was a 10/10. If you want some great soul food with good portion sizes and great customer service I highly recommend coming here.“

“First time grabbing food to go from here. I’m so happy I finally tried them. The food is a 10/10 no complaints. Had a little bit of everything since I ordered for my family. Beef ribs, smoked wings, brisket sandwich, greens, baked beans and mac and cheese. It was all delicious. The meat was well flavored not over seasoned or overcooked. The sides were also flavorful. Nice size portions and good price. Happy to know I have a soul food/bbq option close to home that is good. Nice bar welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to dining in soon.“

“While visiting Michigan stopped in to try just happened to ride by after Church food was hot and fresh greens weren't good. Ordered two plates turkey chops greens and Mac and cheese, baked chicken greens Mac and cheese. First soul food place I've ever seen with Turkey chops 😋 chicken was ok Mac and cheese was the best. Very pricey you better off going to one of the grocery stores that serves hot food and getting the same food for a lot cheaper and taste better only no Turkey chops.“

I don’t know who toes was put in this food but when I tell you Grandma and Grand Dad good. I had the smothered turkey chops and black eyed peas and rice. It was amazing. “I recommend the chicken, ribs, yams and Mac…. Even the koolaid was freaking amazing! I’m a very indecisive person and when I walked in, I couldn’t choose, so I just ordered everything I knew I’d eventually eat. One rib dinner is def enough for two meals. The wing dings were amazing too! And it travels well. Lord knows that delivery man was very easy on the eyes! Fast, fresh, friendly, SEASONED, authentic food for the soul! “Was driving by and decided to stop in and try something new and im glad I did. Very warm energy from the staff; feels like you're amongst family. The food was GOOOOD. And they have so many manu items that I cant wait to go back and try. I meant to take a pic of the food but I started eating it before I pulled off and next thing I know it was gone. 10/10 would recommend!!“

“Sitting here this good Sunday morning anticipating the day J's Cafe will reopen. I can't wait, and it's been too long. Nobody in Detroit makes Salmon croquets served with rice and gravy 😋 (my preference over grits)👌with scrambled eggs as good as J's does. This is my ultimate hands down favorite breakfast spot that brings that southern down home soulfood taste 😋 to your stomach. The dinners are fire too! This was a very happening place and a lot of us are patiently waiting for you to return. “The food was damn good and well worth the price I will be checking this place out again the ghetto Burger was good it really didn't stand out from any other Burger but it was still good the cheesecake dessert was the only thing I did not like and honestly it didn't even taste like cheesecake was more like Frozen cake so I'll pass on the dessert but everything else that I had was damn good.“

“I could eat at celebrities bar and grill everyday! The lamb chops are great with the celebity sauce a must try you won't be disappointed. I normally get turkey chops with a side of mac n cheese and a side of yams and they never disappoint. They know what they're doing with the food so give them a try if you never had it you'll be glad you did. Only thing I wish they would change is taking orders over the phone again because it can be a nice little wait sometimes to get your food after you order in person depending on how busy they are.“
