“got the soft shell tacos yesterday. Glad they fixed the flavorless meat problem. These tacos were really good. Wait time was not too long at the drive thru. Some at Taco bell is working to fix the problems at this store and I just want to say thank you so much. I was even impressed by the fact that we got more meat and less lettuce. No one wants a taco with loads of lettuce and no meat in it . any way great job to whom ever is running the store. Your doing a great job. Thanks again , I am a happy customer.“

“We visited Salsa’s tonight for dinner. Luis was an amazing waiter! He was very attentive, kind, and thoughtful. He brought refills on drinks without us asking, gave us lots of extra napkins since we were dining with our toddler, and even gave her a toy! The food was delicious as well. Highly recommend!“

“Sonja is one of the hardest workers in the restaurant business. I remember her from another restaurant and she was always nice to me and very attentive. Always enjoy talking to her about her hometown Chicago Bears and White Sox.“

“I want to say that, even though I gave this four stars, there’s really nothing bad or wrong with this restaurant. It’s just that we live in an area where there is so much good Mexican food that it felt a little disingenuous to give it five stars.

This is a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat. The service was very fast and our server was very nice. I ordered the smothered chipotle chicken burrito, which I really liked and I only finished half of because the serving sizes are quite large. My other dining partners actually split the fajitas between each other and they had no complaints.

This wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice of Mexican restaurant, but if I was in the area, I certainly wouldn’t say that I don’t want to go here.“

“Wanna talk about a hidden gem?! Here ya go! We visited to shop around & ended up finding a great lunch place! The staff are absolutely amazing and friendly. My kids love the horchata (me too) and the chicken quesadillas. They can split that whole meal between them because there’s enough food to go around! My husband and I got the wet burrito and omg it is absolutely amazing! Very tasty & service is fast. Their little nook is clean and welcoming. Definitely a nice surprise!!“

“I recently revisited Monterrey Mexican Grill after several years, and it was just as fantastic as I remembered! The restaurant has been remodeled, and I love the new ambiance – it’s warm, inviting, and perfect for a night out.

One standout was the strawberry jalapeño margarita – absolutely delicious! The balance of sweet and spicy was spot on. Our server was very friendly and welcoming, though she could have been a bit more attentive. That said, she was clearly busy with other tables, so it was totally understandable.

Overall, this place remains a favorite, and I’m not sure why I don’t visit more often! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and drinks in a cozy setting.“

“This is a restaurant connected to a grocery store. They speak sort of English but me and my brother speak sort of Spanish so we got by. If you know absolutely no Spanish you might have a hard time eating here. They serve tacos, tortas, quesadillas, etc. my brother and I got tacos. They chime with onion and cilantro and there are pickled vegetables on the tables and two salsas, red and green. Ordering was very fast and tacos are anywhere from $2.50-$3.50 each. The food was good but nothing excellent, I felt the meat was not super seasoned. The waitress did bring us some free churros pictures and they were good so I would recommend them! You pay at the front and for two meals the bill was something like $20 which isn’t bad these days. Probably won’t stop by again since there’s so many other options between Elkhart and Goshen but it’s not bad if you happen to be near it.“

“Stopped by here after a workout at Refiners Fire Crossfit and had some excellent Carne Asada Tacos Mexican style. They were delicious, I should have ordered more! We had a small group of youth from church with us, these teenage boys we brought all really enjoyed the food. The service was great, this is a nice locally run restaurant. “This a true "mom & pop" diner but let me tell you it was GREAT food !!!!! I had a chorizo and eggs traditional Mexican breakfast tasted just like homemade what I make. 10 Stars for that. Mexican rice was good too. My son had crepes and liked it too. Our waitress was really friendly and kept coming to check on us...never had to once ask for a refill on coffee or Cokes. I highly recommend, just know this is just a small little dinner nothing fancy but I'll be back because I loved the food. Only open til 2 FYI.“

They have made mistakes in the past, but few and far between when compared to others, and they constantly go out of their way to make it up to the consumer.
