“The tortas are bomb!!! But you would think with the prices and the hype of being “the best burrito in town” they would have upgraded the venue by now. The service is average and the food comes out reasonably quick. The tamales have no flavor in the dry masa and skimpy with the filling not to mention they’re small and 2 bucks a pop so I wouldn’t bother buying those again. Overall the food is great so I still recommend this restaurant“
“Omg ! I live in Florida and I'm telling you I eat Hispanic food all the time and these tacos are the best I have had ! Please get the steak tacos ! I didn't get a chance to try anything else because I had to go back to Florida. Believe me , when I come back to Indiana they will get a lot of my money . Oh yeah, the price is right too !?“
“What a great place! We visited on the recommendation of a friend and I’m so glad we did! I had tacos (with chorizo and pastor) and my husband had a quesadilla with arrachera. The food came out so fast, portions were generous and the flavor delicious. I was doing a happy dance the whole time I was eating. What really made the place special was the service. Our server made us feel like royalty and it was a pleasure watching him take care of others as well. He also let us practice our Spanish with him (taking it slow to give us a chance, lol).“
“I went on Valentines day and it was PACKED. They did everything in a timely manner with the short amount of staff members they had and they were so kind. We ordered take out and it was out so quick. The food was absolutely delicious. Their horchata is TO DIE FOR. I absolutely loved it. I ordered it without ice and it stayed nice and cold without it. They try to make sure they take people in the order they came in. If they don't just calmly speaking up about it is enough to have them help you out. This place needs more hype because everything about this place is amazing.“

I also had the chilaquiles , they were ok.. but they do serve a nice amount of food .. our waitress forgot a lot of little stuff we needed as in utensils, didn't ask if we wanted tortillas with out food and limes .. other than that , I recommend the food for sure“

“Hello everyone, if you love Mexican restaurant like I do, and haven't visited Don Jose's. You might want to rethink your life. We sit at the table and like any good Mexican restaurant we are greeted to chips and salsa. Most places in this area blend thare salsa witch if fine however Don Jose's seems to be made more traditionaly with a mortar and pestle With phenomenal flavor. To start we had the wings as an app. Amazing flavor and extremely crispy. But the wing are not the start of the show .The Carne Asada was perfect, tender ,and juicy with grate flavor, simple like a steak should be, accompanied by some of the best rice and beans you'll find in Indiana. We also indulged in the los natcos (chicken) from the cheese to the meat and the onions on top, thare wasn't a single bite I regretted.Outstanding food isn't the only thing you will find here. Jessica was our server and it felt like we were visiting a friend's house. The interaction started with a grate conversation.For a 5 Star dinning experience like this in this area you could look at a bill of only $61.64 for two compared to others at $100+To be clear thare is no reason not to visit Don Jose'sAmazing foodGreat vibeAnd and an outstanding price tag.“

“Wanna talk about a hidden gem?! Here ya go! We visited to shop around & ended up finding a great lunch place! The staff are absolutely amazing and friendly. My kids love the horchata (me too) and the chicken quesadillas. They can split that whole meal between them because there’s enough food to go around! My husband and I got the wet burrito and omg it is absolutely amazing! Very tasty & service is fast. Their little nook is clean and welcoming. Definitely a nice surprise!!“

We also ordered the chips and salsa, chips were light and crispy salas was delightfully different from other places. It was all outstanding! Everything was hot and fresh. Very friendly service.
