“We've been wanting to make the 40 minute trip down to Birria449. Now I'm upset that we waited so long to go. The food was 🔥! The birria with homemade tortillas is to die for! I've had birria at many places in many different states (including 🇲🇽). Birria 449 us above and beyond the best I've had! The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful! It was clean and well kept. The atmosphere was great. Great traditional Mexican music in the background. If you're looking for something that is flavorful and spectacular this is the place to go! The prices are beyond reasonable. It is family owned and operated. They are hard working and a pleasure to deal with. This might be my first 5 🌟 am the way around!“

“Authentic and delicious. Windows are covered in one-way transparant posters, so if cars weren't there we'd of wondered if it was open. But cars are always there which is the hallmark of good food!
Not much atmosphere but authentic and friendly. Big portions and very tasty. We'll be back.“

“someone at work offered me a tamale today at work and it was SO good. i asked him where he got it from and he said Universal Tamal.. needless to say i couldn’t stop thinking about them so i took my picky 8 year old for dinner and she definitely approves ! best tamales we have ever had ! 💚“
