We went to Shiangmi tonight to celebrate my Birthday. Jim greeted us and his interaction with all of us was warm and inviting --- he couldn't have been nicer! The food was delicious, our sweet waiter attentive, and the Birthday song and sign were precious!! What a lovely celebration!
We’ve been here a couple times over the years and recently started coming back more often—and it’s been consistently good. The food quality is solid, portions are reasonable, and overall we’ve had great experiences each visit. It is a bit on the pricey side, but still worth it.
One thing to note: a lot of the dishes lean spicy, so if that’s not your thing, definitely ask for mild or no spice when ordering.

The eggplant & long beans dish was 5/5, and so was the general tso’s chicken. The chicken had this lovely light breading on the outside that had a slight crisp, perfectly cooked! I also loved the eggplant. The shrimp dumplings were not very good, I wouldn’t recommend those. Service was great and it’s a really beautiful building inside!
