I saw a post on the Facebook group called “All things Farmington” where many had tried and enjoyed the food at ShiangMi.
Based on that recommendation, we took our family here for our Christmas dinner and it was wonderful!
From being greeted at the door, the beautiful (and clean) restaurant and the amazing food…. Everything was perfect!

ShiangMi Chinese Fine Dining 湘密公馆 offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with a beautiful building inside. The staff is wonderful, with attentive service and special touches like a birthday song and sign. The food quality is solid and consistently good, with reasonable portions. Dishes like the orange chicken are terrific, with a rich orange taste and chicken cooked to perfection. The eggplant & long beans dish and general tso’s chicken are both excellent, featuring a light, crisp breading. However, the shrimp dumplings are not recommended. The food is expensive and taste wise not too different from many fast food Chinese restaurants, and entrees do not include rice. A lot of dishes lean spicy, so guests should ask for mild or no spice when ordering. Despite the price, the great atmosphere and wonderful team make it worth it for celebrations.
