“Service: 5/5, Quality: 5/5, Value: 5/5 Vegan Options: 4/5 Overall: The food was absolutely delicious and we contracted them for our all vegan wedding. Further: Service- Service exceeded expectations. Suzy was very helpful at every step and was very thorough and flexible with the contract so we knew both what were things we were going to need, and who was responsible for providing those things. Day of the wedding her staff was extremely professional and top-notch. Quality - The food was delicious. We loved it as did our guests who were a mix of vegans and non-vegans. Before the wedding we did a sampling and liked a lot of what we tried. We were able to select what we wanted for the wedding and in the end everything turned out great. I will say that the portobello steak was something that was encouraged several times, and I generally dont like mushrooms. We tried it at the sampling and it just wasn't for us. We ended up doing the Chickie Seitan marsala as one of the entrees and it was delicious! Value - Price per plate was fair for all the food/services, and looking at what some websites reports as the average catering cost per plate we paid less than the average for that year. We did go through the contract though and negotiated who was responsible for what and there were many things we sourced separately. This is the advantage of using a venue that didn't require the venue's catering service and this allowed us to use Chive/Suzy who were flexible. Keep in mind that if you have the money Chive could be a total package for you, but they would be renting tables/tents/etc on your behalf and you are paying them a premium to do that. You may be able to get some of those things cheaper by arranging directly. We contracted with Suzy to do a cocktail hour /w appetizers (delicious!), dinner, and a bar with staff to support these things. Vegan Options - They have a full vegan menu from when they were a full vegan restaurant/caterer. I checked online and they still do offer the full vegan menu (or at least a substantial part of it). I rate 4/5 for full vegan menus, though, I am saddened that this is no longer fully vegan.“

“I've never heard of that place before and feel bad because it's amazing. I love their cherry chicken salad and carrot chips with that yummy dressing dip on the side. It's very rustic, fresh, and super tasty. My favorite sandwich place by far. Will highly recommend!“

“Vassel's has been our family caterer for more than ten years. They have prepared food for us to pick up and cooked for Christening celebrations, graduations and birthdays in our home -- and have catered a wedding at a beautiful outdoor venue. They have cooked for 20 and for 250. The food is always delicious and imaginative (including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options). Darren and his staff are competent and kind. Vassel's always works with me and my budget. My favorite is their brunch with individually made waffles and omelettes. I can't say enough nice things about Vassel's Main Street Catering.“

“We had our wedding shower at Guernsey Restaurant last weekend & could not have asked for a better experience! We had 35 people and the waitresses were on top of everything the entire time. I’m not sure if this was planned or if she just did it, but one of the waitresses was almost entirely dedicated to me as the bride, making sure I was never without a drink, being there for anything that was needed, they were wonderful! The food was amazing and of course the ice cream is the best around, but the service was what made it truly special!“

“The birthday cake (lemon and raspberry torte) with shaved white chocolate was moist and delicious and made my mouth pucker. The cost for a 10” cake was $77 which I think is somewhat high. I may be wrong because I haven’t priced other bakeries and don’t know of any with cakes as good.“
