I've been going here since 2017, and I could honestly say that the sushi is consistently of the highest quality. I've become well-acquainted with the staff members over the years, and they're undeniably hardworking yet can be personable during the slower hours. I'm a POC, and have dealt with issues of racism from other fine dining restaurants in the area-- but their service has always made me feel extremely welcome. The menu items are on the higher end, but the service, food, and cleanliness of the restaurant make every experience worth it. This is the perfect place to go on first dates, birthdays, anniversaries, and family events. I cannot stress enough that you MUST try this place!!

Overpriced and small portions. My last review was removed. The prices have literally doubled even for miso soup in just a couple of years. This place used to be a gem but no more. The only positive was the service.

Ricky was our server today and brought the BEST energy! He was running around taking care of so many tables and still made us feel special. The portions are HUGE and the Nigiri melted in our mouths. Loved this spot! Our picture might be of a clean plate….. Not sorry! It looked beautiful before we ate it ?

I put this review on yelp but I felt like it needed to be shared on google as well since more people read reviews here:Used to love this place, l've lived in ferndale for many years and have gone many times, not any longer. The lady who sat us was absolutely rude, didn't want to stop what she was doing to even great us/ looked like we were wasting her time. The actual service from the server was great. We ate and then found out they won't take a debit card(an actual form of payment) without a chip (which is what ! have) nor Apple Pay. When the same lady that was up front (I assumed she was the host based on her attire and her attitude) informed us of this she was so rude like we were trying to skip out on the bill, it definitely could have been approached in a better way. One of us stayed while I went and got cash to pay the bill, when I came back I was told by her she was the manager, which completely shocked me because of the way she approached the whole billing system. I genuinely didn't believe her because of the way she not only acted but dressed, I even asked the guy up at the stand who actually was a host. Pathetic excuse for a manager, but great reason to not come back. Bye Inyo!

Awesome place to grab sushi if you’re in a relaxed and chill mood. The seats are comfortable, the sushi is good and I’ve never had poor customer service.

Our order was taken fairly quickly after being seated. Although, our waitress forgot about appetizers and brought them out with the entrees. Also, there was no attention to detail when serving the entrees because part of our order was missing. The atmosphere was cute and cozy. The presentation of the food was excellent.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Our server Rickey is the epitome of perfection. From the recommendations to the conversation, he made our experience top knotch. I will definitely put in a request to be in his section every time.The food and the wine, also delish ?
Rickey was amazing. Very knowledgable with the food, made suggestions on almost our whole meal… everything was perfect. We will come back, specifically for him.

Ordered during my lunch break, was told it’ll be ready in 10 mins. No one told me over the phone that card without chips or Apple Pay isn’t accepted. Then the food also wasn’t even made the receipt for the order was just sitting on the counter. Won’t be getting any business from me again.

I would call it maybe a little better than ok, but not on par with the old Little Tree or Kyoto in Royal oak. The food was decent, though the selection of rolls is not very dynamic. Most have about the same ingredients. We settled on a couple rolls that looked good and some nigiri. The nigiri was good and the Walu was fantastic. the service however was disappointing. My wife ordered the Hot Sea Stone Bowl and it came at least 15 mins before the sushi. She was done before the rest of the food for the table came and it was really not that busy at all.

3 times we had dirty dishes, and the manager just had excuses and a very rude attitude. We are concerned with the food quality, the taste was regular. I am so disappointed, they didn't do anything, we just spend time in a bad dinner. Ido not recommend this place at all.

This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in years. It took 20 minutes for anyone to take our drink order. The manager had walked by our table that was empty multiple times without even checking in on us. We did see him help other tables. My wife and I were the only lgbtq table at the time so I can only assume that was the issue which is sad since they are located in Ferndale.When we did order the hamachi was not suitable for anyone to eat and I order this at every sushi spot I go to. It was old and I was worried that I would get sick so I literally spit it out. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
