We came to Ferndale for some bagels, but while parking we smelt the amazing smells of Indian cuisine. We instantly changed our minds and l’m so happy we did. The service was immaculate and the food was spectacular. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated. I recommend the lamb tikka masala & garlic naan! So scrumptious!

I would give a 6th star if I could. Went here for the 1st time the other day and was commenting on the atmosphere of the seating area (5 out of 5). Then, we were approached by the owner who asked for clarification on my order (but we had no idea he was the owner). Very pleasant conversation, and he wanted us to try an appetizer, so he brought it to us on the house! (Service 5 out of 5) Finally, the food we ordered was amazing! Spices were perfect and meat was tender. (5 out of 5)
First time dining was so amazing from the minute we walked in the door one of the guys geeted us like were out of town family, the rest of the staff was just as friendly. The atmosphere and seating areas were super comfortable. The menu is large and easy to read with pages of delicious sounding dishes.We ordered the dinner for two, for three of us and we still had to ask for a to go box. The food was amazing, the Naan bread was the best anywhere.Can't wait to go back.
Ferndale is lucky to have Star of India! Food is fantastic as is the atmosphere. I had the Tandoori Chicken and was wowed by the portion as much as the incredible flavor. My partner had the Lamb Kabob and hurt himself by eating so much, lol! Owner and staff are super friendly and hospitable making the experience all the more enjoyable. I’m sure I’m the last person in Ferndale to discover this place but I’m certainly glad I did!!

This in my favorite Indian restaurant ! The food is always fresh and super delicious. I had the madras with fish a few days ago. It was so good, I ordered it again yesterday. The staff is genuinely friendly and always pleasant. A happily family makes for a wonderful experience every time. You will not be disappointed at this establishment. ? ❤️?

They offer dine in as well as takeout, so it's convenient too.
