Big Johns is a Flint icon!! If you want a tasty, belly filling sandwich, this is it!! It's Not the cheapest, but, it is the best. I highly recommend the steak and onion, the club and other sandwiches are great as well. Though, their reputation was built on the original steak and onion!!!

Big John Steak & Onion is a restaurant that offers quick and friendly service. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and friendly to children. The restaurant is kept clean and comfortable. One popular menu item is the Super Mushroom Steak and Cheese sub with mild peppers and house red sauce. While many customers enjoy the food and appreciate the coupons, there have been some complaints about incorrect orders and worker rudeness. Parking is available but limited. The Dort location has no lines and plenty of parking space. Many loyal customers continue to visit, enjoying the classic Steak and Onion experience.
