Never a bad meal.
Very nice little diner. We went on a monday morning so we were by ourselves and the owners were so kind and accommodating. We got breakfast and the food was delicious and was nice and fresh. Overall highly reccomend 10/10
The fish was huge and delicious!

Smelk's Diner in Freeport, Michigan is a hidden gem with great food and welcoming staff. The owner and his mom make you feel at home, offering reasonably priced meals. While the waitress seemed a bit unenthusiastic, the diner's flexible hours and delicious frog legs make it a favorite spot for many. The frog legs, available only on Fridays after 2 pm, are tender and moist with a light batter, served with fries and homemade cole slaw.
