Had dinner yesterday, 3-21-25, with my wife, our adult daughter and her husband. As Gaylord locals we have been longtime intermittent customers. Unfortunately, things have not improved. Three of us had the Friday cod special. The heavy thick coating on the deep-fried cod was terrible. I scraped most of the coating off, which left a lot less fish. The staff is fantastic! And the other patrons are frieny and have suggestions on what to do while in Gaylord (pronounced Gaylerd if you want to fit in locally).
We attended a very small wedding reception at Tavern Inn the Woods last weekend and it was very nice. The food was good, the private room was beautiful, the servers were professional, and the bar was fully stocked with a pleasant and competent bartender... and she made me a tasty 'adult' coffee, which I needed in the cold weather! 😉
