“What a little gem! We were looking for something not too heavy and a little bit off the beaten path, so to speak. Perfect! We both chose the curry chicken bowl for our first time and found it delicious! The curry wasn't overpowering, and just the right amount of brown rice. The fresh salad on top gave it a pleasant texture. Took a while to come out, but that's just the sign of careful preparation. I'd come back in a heartbeat the next time I'm in the area.
Parking: It's downtown. Parking can be tight on a weekend night.“

“Just like being back in Jamaica. the food was excellent. We had them cater our party and the oxtail, curried goat and jerk chicken were a huge hit. And can't forget the rice and peas, delicious. Everyone loved it. We'll definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you so much for the delicious food!“

“This was my first time trying this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint! The Fufu dish was too good and the wings were awesome! The owner also gave us a custard apple juice which was to die for. The food and customer service were a 11/10 and I will for sure be going back again!
Also, get extra plantain fries. They’re soo good“

“My family and I visited Grand Rapids for a weekend. I saw this restaurant recommended on Tiktok so thought we'd give it a try. On Friday, we got there around 8:20pm. On Google it says her restaurant closes at 10. We walked in and waited a few minutes before a young man was sent to tell us that she (the owner) was not taking anymore orders and would he closing at 8:30. Okay, maybe the time was wrong on Google. No biggie, we decided to go again the next day. We got there around 3:30pm. Upon walking in, I smiled at the owner and said hello. She looked at me with a rude face and did not greet us. A few minutes later she asked across the restaurant if we had reservations. I answered no. Did not see anything about reservations being required when looking online. She continued working and we continued to wait by the door. After a few minutes, she came to us and said if you want to eat here, it will be slow service, is that okay? And we told her we're okay and left. Now I understand she was busy, but both days we were not treated with warmth or felt like we were welcomed in the restaurant. The other customers she interacted with were treated kindly from what we saw. I personally feel like she does not care for black Americans, which sucks because we were trying to support her black business.“
