“The food was off the charts! We came on a busy Saturday evening, before heading to the Celebration Cinema to watch One Love. We thought why not have it be a celebration of all things Jamaican! We tried the curry goat and the curry chicken. Both had so much flavor! Absolutely mouth-watering. The greens and rice/beans were so delicious. My partner also got their in-house lemonade which was refreshingly sweet. They had a few specials running but we didn't get to try them so hopefully when we go back, they still have them available. The only drawback, The seating area is pretty small so this seems more of a "take out" place but I recommend staying to eat while your food is hot! It was about $30 for the two meals and drinks.“

“Real authentic Puerto Rican food. Perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, tender steak, perfect rice. Huge portions. Empanadas were perfection also. I can tell the owner is proud of his food, and he should be. He's a nice gentle man too. Great experience for my first time here. It won't be my last.“

“My family and I visited Grand Rapids for a weekend. I saw this restaurant recommended on Tiktok so thought we'd give it a try. On Friday, we got there around 8:20pm. On Google it says her restaurant closes at 10. We walked in and waited a few minutes before a young man was sent to tell us that she (the owner) was not taking anymore orders and would he closing at 8:30. Okay, maybe the time was wrong on Google. No biggie, we decided to go again the next day. We got there around 3:30pm. Upon walking in, I smiled at the owner and said hello. She looked at me with a rude face and did not greet us. A few minutes later she asked across the restaurant if we had reservations. I answered no. Did not see anything about reservations being required when looking online. She continued working and we continued to wait by the door. After a few minutes, she came to us and said if you want to eat here, it will be slow service, is that okay? And we told her we're okay and left. Now I understand she was busy, but both days we were not treated with warmth or felt like we were welcomed in the restaurant. The other customers she interacted with were treated kindly from what we saw. I personally feel like she does not care for black Americans, which sucks because we were trying to support her black business.“
