Born and raised in Grand Rapids and grew up with Founders. We went tonight at 9:20pm for a last call beer (they say they close at 10pm) and got turned away at the door by the bouncer saying “we close at 10 so we aren’t letting anyone in”. We weren't going to order food, just wanted a last drink. If you want to close at 9pm, then close at 9pm. Don’t turn away guests with 40 minutes left of service. Founders used to be a neighborhood...
Maggie was an absolute delight to have as a server, she interacted with the kids I was babysitting in such a wonderful way and had them giggling and smiling the entire time. The food was great and everything was very timely!
