Are you looking for good, down home BBQ in Grand Rapids, then Slows BBQ is the place! We enjoyed the Brisket, Chicken Wings, and Apple Glazed Chicken. The wings are the bomb! Brisket is soft and moist.Definitely worth the walk and the service was fast.
Have to say I was questioning the location with all the homeless around just down the street but didn't think about it again once walking in. It was very clean and bright and nothing felt unsafe.The food was exceptional, and the bartender was great. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends!
Plenty of variety for our diverse moods. Wife went with "Mac & cheese with apple chicken", daughter grabbed "The Reason" (a pulled-pork sandwich) w/ waffle fries, and I had "The Big 3" (brisket, pulled pork, & apple chicken), as well as a side of cornbread, & shared a pint of "peanutbutter & Cracker Jack stout" from the local Mitten Brewery.
