The Old Goat accommodated our group of 9 adults for a 40th anniversary celebration. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating, even rearranging tables to help our very specific needs. The variety and quality of the food choices was exceptional. Our order was prompt and correct and the staff did everything to make our experience enjoyable! We would absolutely visit here again!
The Old Goat is located on Eastern Ave in Grand Rapids’ Alger Heights Neighborhood. They are 1 of 4 restaurants from the Restaurant group called The Electric Company. The Old Goat Restaurant specializes in American Gastro-Pub Fare and everything is made from scratch. There is a large parking lot behind the restaurant with entrances in both the front and rear.

This is a mostly loud but enjoyable space. Our waitress was great, food was great, and pricing good. We had bizzy grizzy biscuits with a gumbo pot and jambalaya. The rice was so good. The servings were large. Gumbo was very good with just the right amount of spicy. The jambalaya was so good, shrimp was very tasty and served without tails(not always done). The sausage was yummy and the biscuits were perfect with these dishes.
