We were seated next to a table with an employee kneeling down to talk to a customer. The customer had said how the food was terrible. Employee goes on to state that the chef left on NYE and took a lot of staff with them. We promptly got up and left.
The food was a disappointment. Their chicken fingers were more coating than chicken, the same as those served on the kids' menu of most restaurants. The rice was served cold - not just cool, but cold - begging the question, "When was this made and why was it in the refrigerator?" Others at our table had meals that were institutional.
I absolutely love this place. Staff is always friendly, the drinks never miss, and their food feels very unique to West Michigan, definitely nothing like it in Grandville. I love the events just as much as I do sitting at the bar.
