“A hidden historic gem in the area it is popular for brunch. The stacks of pancakes looked delicious. We had lunch. A Caboose burger with bacon and a side of the classic massive onion rings. My friend had the pattymelt with fries. Delicious food, but both the fries and onion rings were a bit undercooked and not crispy, and the burgers a bit over.Enthusiastic and friendly atmosphere. And of course don't miss when at some point the model train goes around the dining room.Good value for the food as well. It would be a 5 if the cooking was a bit more consistent.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“

“The cafe had good service and very good food in large portions for a fair price. I would definitely recommend it. The only downside is that it's a bit noisy. There is a lot of seating for the area size and it was quite busy when we were there. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and speed of the service for being so busy.Dietary restrictions: Very few restaurants offer chicken or turkey breakfast meat. I noticed chicken sausage on the breakfast menu. Great for people who don't eat pork and like some meat with breakfast!“

“This place is excellent!! Strongly recommend going for breakfast!! Service was great, friendly and efficient. I had the special from the chalkboard which said "2 small blueberry pancakes, 2 eggs, choice of bacon or sausage." Well, the pancakes were Huge and stuffed with fresh blueberries - absolutely delicious!! I got the eggs scrambled, and 2 slices of crispy bacon!! My husband ordered the Logger's omelette, which was stuffed with crispy hashbrowns, cheese and chunks of ham! It came with your choice of toast - we highly recommend their homemade wheat bread!! The slices were thick and delicious!! Many of the customers seemed to be regulars, so it has a friendly ambiance. We will definitely return next time we're in town!“

I really liked my Southwestern Taco Salad with grilled chicken! it was very generous in size and quite tasty with corn and black beans in the filling. My husband loved his burger, which was served with grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun!! It came with their fantastic crispy homemade kettle chips. My daughter really liked her burger with sautéed mushrooms & Swiss cheese. We will definitely return next time we're in the area!“

“Visited with my brother and my wife. The food was good but not extraordinary, well purputioned and severed hot. Our server was pleasant, polite, and prompt. I was looking forward to visiting again when the wife and I returned. We did run out of time and had to make our 3 hour trip home.“

“Delicious food, great drinks, and such a kind and welcoming staff! Amber helped our large group today and did it flawlessly with wonderful service. We loved celebrating a family birthday here - the adjacent bowling alley was a perfect option for kids too. Thank you for making our day special! (PS: the French dip and bbq chicken flatbread were phenomenal!)“

“My first experience at Smugglers was a good one! Monday taco special is not only a great value, but artisan tacos were top notch, and the creme brulee was one of the best I've had. Great style and view to the restaurant itself, staff was enthusiastic and hustling. Five stars all around, I shall return.“

“Top notch! I travel a lot for work so I eat out often and am very particular. This place is the best. Megan was the perfect waitress and the food was unbelievable. All 6 of us were delighted. I had a chicken dish with summer squash and cornbread. It was savory and the cornbread side was the best I have ever had....very unique. Oh, and the view of the lakes from up high is special. Can't wait to try the outdoor deck when the weather breaks.“

“Top notch food for the small and cozy town of Newaygo. Lots of unique pizzas, sandwiches, and entrees to choose from. Highly recommend the cheese sticks with the garlic butter. We had the Buddha bowls, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Veggie grilled cheese, and Mac n cheese. Nothing to complain about, service, food, and drinks were great. Give this place a try!“

“This spot is great for simple roadhouse food. We came in late one evening and the staff made us feel very comfortable. I had a reuben and my husband and son had the chicken Rockefeller. As to the 1 star reviews, I suspect certain people can't handle their world views being challenged and therefore seek to cancel anyone who thinks contrary to them. How inclusive!“

“This was a fun stop for my family, as we had other supper plans, but the place we were going to go was closed. Lots of fun things to look at in the building, friendly service, but the real highlight is the food! The spicy BBQ burger was huge, well presented and delicious! The side of sassy slaw went along beautifully with it. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals tremendously as well. My nephew claimed it was the 2nd best grilled cheese he’s had in his 7 years of life. The staff was friendly and prompt. Would absolutely return to try more of their delicious looking menu.Parking: Small dirt lot on the side of the building, if they were busier, parking may be difficult.Kid-friendliness: It appears as your hometown bar upon entry, but the entire staff and crowd was welcoming and accommodating to my 6 and 7 year old niece and nephew.“
