Based on the reviews, Florian East Lagers & Ales is a must visit in Hamtramck. It is a real cozy and community place with chill vibes and events every week. The location is great, with a nice place that has open, inviting digs with light colored wood, exposed brick and ductwork. The overall vibes are amazing and everyone is friendly. The beers are top notch and fantastic. The selection is great with very good tasting beers. For non-IPA drinkers, it is appreciated to have a spot specializing in lagers and ales. The beers are sessionable, meaning lower alcohol but not low flavor. Specific beers include the Garnet lager, a hard-to-find Czech style that is tasty, refreshing, and smooth, and a hand-pulled oyster stout called Pocket Full of Shells. Affordable options are all over the menu. There is no food really, but they sell caprisuns and chips for the kiddos. Parking is available in the back.
