Stopped in for a quick lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was modest. The food? That was the star of the show. You’d be hard pressed to find a tastier taco (Mexican style on a corn tortilla).
The combination of great food at a very modest price has me looking forward to passing through Hartford, MI again.

Taqueria Y Mariscos El Primo llc offers a welcoming atmosphere with excellent service and a clean establishment. Known for its fantastic food, the restaurant features great micheladas, an excellent mango margarita, and a variety of delicious tacos and burritos. Customers often visit on weekends for take-home options like carnitas meat, which is highly praised. The carnitas tacos, available only on weekends, are described as perfection. The tacos receive special attention, including unique offerings like the only tripa taco some have enjoyed. The restaurant also serves shrimp and fish tacos in homemade tortillas. Service is friendly and quick, and Spanish music plays in the background, creating a vibrant setting. There is a small in-store market where limited Mexican products can be purchased. For those with dietary restrictions, the staff is kind and accommodating, enhancing the overall experience. The steak quesadilla and chorizo tacos are also recommended, adding to the menu’s appeal for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food.
