The Horton Hop Reviews
3/20/26 was our first ever visit to the Horton hop. Unfortunately, it wasn’t great. We waited in the drive-thru only line for 30 minutes. I got a sundae that was ice cream swirled around the outside of the cup (nothing in the middle). My husband got a flurry and the bottom half was ice cream only (none of his mix-in). The soft serve vanilla ice cream was also way too frozen and didn’t taste great. We won’t be returning.
Very good food and service each visit! Great place to stop after SAU games
After several years of ups and downs and very poor service, Horton’s little ice cream shop seems to have turned it around! Kudos to the young ladies who own the shop. The food is always hot, fresh, and yummy. The service is 10,000 times better than it has been in the last 5 years, and much faster. Great job ladies!

The Horton Hop, a small-town favorite, serves up delicious burgers, including the acclaimed "Frosty King," along with tasty onion fries and decadent milkshakes. This independent spot offers weekly ice cream flavors and food specials, with quick and friendly drive-through service. There is also a picnic-style area with a lending library and cornhole boards, as well as seating under a covered porch. The staff is known for being friendly and attentive, and the service is quick. Customers often come hungry, as the menu provides plenty of options, whether for a good lunch, diner-style food, or ice cream. Despite occasional price increases, fans keep returning regularly, even in the off-season. The Horton Hop is wheelchair accessible and features reserved parking for those waiting for food.
