“The Douglass House Saloon is a Houghton classic! Great atmosphere, cold drinks, and the popcorn makes it even better. This bar has been here since the 1800’s. The real highlight though is the bartender, Tristen—super friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place (and Tristen behind the bar) will make your night! Enjoyed having a drink for my 50th Birthday after dropping off our daughter at Michigan Tech university.“

“Seat yourself style bar and grill, quick and friendly customer service. Several TV’s with sports and a few led boards with up coming games with various sports. Good selections of spirits! The chili cheese fries were amazing, loaded with great portions of chili and nacho cheese. The classic beef hoagie I dressed up as a beef-N-cheddar closest thing to Arby’s lol came with chips and a pickle spear, good size portion.“

“One of the best bars around and a beautiful piece of Calumet/Copper Country history. The owner and bartenders are always hospitable and they make excellent drinks (including a good selection of NA beer).
The building itself is amazing. The care taken to preserve the original architecture and feel, while ensuring everything is up-to-date (and code) makes it a very unique stop.
Beyond that, it has a great location by the Calumet Theatre, the historic fire hall, and many other stops for visitors.“

“Lovely old course to play on vacation. The gentleman in the clubhouse was great, helpful etc. One of the guys mowing was rude when I tried to find out where to leave my cart at the end of the round. Probably needs to find a job with little to no human contact.“
“The food is great, Bowling is great too, the lanes are pretty old so they break down sometimes but I always love coming here.“

“BEST fried chicken in the Y00per. We tried everyone's chicken and non compare with copper mine. Pizza is really good as is the flame grilled burgers and steaks. the waitress's are a blast, you will be laughing.“

“Had to go to B&B for a second time 5 years later, from Madison area, for the shuffleboard, pool, and good vibes. Stayed because of the welcoming locals, owners, and bartender-Meg. Drink prices were good; Pickled eggs were good. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next trip.“
