“It was packed on a Sunday, the waitress's were busy but attentive and I never had an empty coffee cup. I read earlier reviews so I was prepared for a wait. However, the coffee cup was continuly filled as i waited. While waiting I downloaded areas to stop at on the way to Copper Harbor. The food was worth the wait. Truly amazing and the portion was huge. I ordered the miners omelete (3 eggs, sausage, bacon fried potatoes,fresh mushrooms, onions and cheese) It was rustic and truely homemade. The sourdough toast was baked on site and so good. Overall, it was very tasty, filled the plate and I was stuffed. I bought a chocolate chip cookie to eat later ( it was soft and loaded with chocolate) the bill with 4 cups of coffee, omelete and cookie was $10.81 ( well priced)“

“There is nothing like locally made ice cream and this place NEVER disappoints! Your best selling tactic is free samples. Although I came for ice cream, I walked out with both sorbet and ice cream! Excellent strawberry sorbet and cookies and cream ice cream… looks like I’ll be putting on a few more pounds this summer! Can’t forget to mention the super friendly staff and impeccable clean store.
