I stumbled upon this gem while visiting my father yesterday. We were looking for a place that we could play some pool and grab something to snack on. The parking was easy to find, front and back parking. We had a zero wait time for us to find a table. The pool table was in excellent condition, plenty of room. I actually had water cause it was later at night. And it was terrible! The worst ground water iv had! The men's bathroom had standing water in front of the urinal! It needs work! I heard it has changed hands so they should get in there and clean it up a bit! I expected it to have some newness to it. It did not! I do understand it's an old bar but it has potential!
The bar is under new management and they are still working on figuring out pricing (I Hope) The drinks were way overpriced for the location. 19.00 for 2 crown apple and Redbulls. Most other bars in the area are closer to 12.00. We love the ambience of the bar the only complaint is the prices. A bottle of Guiness was 7.00. They get prices figured out and we would visit Shiels more often.
