“Tried Middle Eastern Appetite today! Always passed by this restaurant but never stopped, glad I did! Got the Shish Tawook! The chicken was grilled to perfection and had tons of flavor! The Pita was flavored nicely. I took the chicken and rice and veggies and put them all in the wrap and ate it! The rice was a great addition to the plate, and when I was done with the pita, I mixed everything and ate it! The restaurant is roomy and cozy and welcoming! The staff was amazing as well and really appreciated the recommendation especially for someone who doesn’t eat a lot of middle eastern food!“
“Wonderful quality food, the server is always super nice and friendly and helpful. Never had an issue of the server being rude because I had questions, and she was happy to share part of her culture with us. The music is nice and fun, and the food is delicious! Definitely worth it. It's not the cheapest place, but I like to save to come here because it's super worth it. We all had different entrees; butter chicken was definitely the favorite! They're accommodating to people who can't have spice like my fiance, and people who love spice; like me! Also, the samosas are the best there! The best!!“
“Portions are big and very satisfying. The food is so good! I had the mixed shwarma with hummus and a side of fries. They filled each large Togo box as much as they could fit and everything was delicious down to the Flatbread. Spectacular first impression and I can't wait to be a return customer!“
“The Real Shawarma King, on Drake Road, is THE BEST Middle Eastern in the Kalamazoo area. Doing carry out or eat in, the service is great, they even offer a discount if paying cash. My favorites are the chicken shawarma wrap or falafel wrap. The hummus is outstanding, we also add some of the garlic sauce to it for "extra yummy" hummus. It is the smoothest, creamiest hummus I've ever eaten. The location needs a larger Parking lot however I wouldn't want them to move. Nice small restaurant with friendly staff and pleasant, simple, clean interior. Don't miss this little gem in a bustling area! You'll be sorry if you do.“
