Visited McGonigle’s first time ever to meet a buddy for lunch and really liked the dive bar homeyness. Service was prompt and friendly at the bar and I thoroughly enjoyed my double hot dog platter and had a bowl of reuben soup substituted for fries at no extra charge. Currently not consuming alcohol due to medication but will definitely go back for beers as soon as I’m off the meds.
Went there last year for St. Patrick's day and they had live music which was awesome also their corned beef and Rubens were delicious! Planning on going back there this coming St. Patrick's day! I heard the same band from last year is returning again!
My group visited on Jan 2nd, and while everyone else's meals were fine, I was incredibly disappointed with the Pot Roast Stacker. I’ve had this dish at many restaurants, but this version was a massive letdown. Instead of tender pot roast, I was served dry, thin slices of lunch meat roast beef that tasted like a cheap 70s TV dinner. For such a simple meal, the quality was unacceptable. Save your money and order something else—avoid the pot roast at all costs.
