“I was pleasantly surprised the first time I went there. Gridiron is your typical neighborhood dive bar with lots of friendly regulars and a charismatic owner. It reminds me of Cheers ( the old sit com). The drinks are inexpensive and generous. A vodka and cranberry was only $3.00, and the bottle of Budwiser was $2.75 . I got a 1/2 pound cheese burger with everything on it for$6.75. I couldn't believe the prices. I would definitely recommend it and have told all my friends about it.

Today our server was honestly a little rude, which made our experience unexpectedly poor. “Almost Cheers is a nice neighborhood bar. The bartenders are friendly and try to learn everyone's names. The crowd is friendly and willing to converse. They've just started offering food again, though it's all deep-fried, but it's good for what it is. The manager is trying to make everything serviceable and the atmosphere less drab than some may find it currently, so I have good hopes for them for the future.“

“I took my two son’s here today. My youngest has autism and others’ kindly describe him as “a handful.” Accurate. The server comes over and asks for our drinks. She brings them back and my son just throws the cup across the aisle. And then laughs. Autism is super fun like that. Lauren (the server) was super nice about the mess. Another female server cleaned up the milk. They were both very understanding and it helped so much - probably more than they realize! I tipped them both but I hope a manager sees this, because, they are awesome employees!! You’re lucky to have them!“

“We recently visited Griffin Claw Clubhouse in Rochester Hills and had an excellent experience, thanks in large part to our server and bartender, Mae.

From the moment we sat down, Mae made us feel welcome. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and upbeat, guiding us through the menu with helpful suggestions and spot-on recommendations. Her understanding of the beer and food options stood out and really enhanced our evening.

We ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos, which were fantastic, and tried a mix of drinks including the Peach Geist, the Berserker, and the Screamin’ Pumpkin. Mae described them perfectly, and each one lived up to her recommendation.

Throughout our visit, Mae was consistently friendly, attentive, and proactive, making sure our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed, often before we even had to ask. She struck the perfect balance of being present without ever making us feel rushed.

What impressed us most was Mae’s positive attitude and genuine warmth. She wasn’t just doing her job; she created an experience that felt personal and memorable.

“Red Knapps is a good comfort food restaurant with some surprisingly wonderful, more formal dishes to offer as well. This is our go-to place when nothing else appeals to us. The atmosphere has a genuinely tasteful feel with paneled walls, coved ceilings, and large pictures of horses here and there. The bar area is often well attended, and I believe that televised sports are on the televisions.
Wait Staff is ALWAYS very nice, pleasant, and efficient. There has never been a time that we've been disappointed or unhappy with our service nor our food.“

But today there was a server(not even ours) who went out of her way to make my young sons(2&4) feel special. With a random act of kindness. When I told my son that I didn’t have any cash for the duck claw machine, she overheard and had pulled a pair of singles out of her book for my sons to “win” a duck. I didn’t accept it, because we have too many toys as is, and my wife generally keeps a little cash(which my son begged from her). I didn’t her name, but I hope her manager sees this. “I went there for a Porsche Club event, very nice atmosphere good waitstaff. We had a buffet dinner. Consisting of salmon,pasta,roast beef,baked chicken breast,potatoes,salad. The food was good they have a variety of homemade craft beers and a full bar. They have a live band on certain nights and they have a comedy night. I highly recommend this business.“

“This is a nice chili's location. Right next to the mall. The service is great, and food came out fast even with it being busy. Love the $10.99 meal with a drink and soup or salad. It is way better than fast food and you get more for the price! The chicken crispers are one of our favorite meals as well.“
