The manager is a warm and friendly fellow and all the staff are quick to help or offer assistance. Derek the Bar tender did a great job of attending to us and make sure we were comfortable. If you’re in a “rush” this may not be the best place to stop in. The wait for a great meal is not bad at all, but you won’t get fast food or Coney Island fast… and the quality food is way above. I highly recommend stepping out and giving this place a try!“

“I came in expecting the usual dive bar scene — sticky floors, cheap beer, neon signs buzzing in the corner. Instead, Rachael and Amy treated me like I had just bought the place. I ordered a regular draft and somehow it felt like they had tapped a keg exclusively in my honor.

Halfway through my second beer, Rachael joked about “opening a tab,” but what really happened is Amy slid me a crisp stack of bills and told me not to worry about it — like the bar itself was sponsoring me. By closing time, when most people were stumbling toward their Ubers, they casually mentioned my private helicopter was waiting out back behind the dumpsters. They then flew me across Italy.

If you want five-star luxury while drinking a $3 domestic, this is the only bar on earth where that’s possible. Dive bar? Maybe. But with Rachael and Amy behind the counter, it feels like Buckingham Palace with better beer.“

“Came here for a quick dinner with some of my girlfriends after my wedding dress fitting, and it was the perfect spot. The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, and the menu offered plenty of variety with lots of great options to choose from. We each tried different chef selections, and everyone loved both their food and drinks. I especially appreciated the thoughtful mocktail menu for anyone not drinking but still wanting something special. The service was friendly and very attentive, which made the experience even better. Don't be fooled by the plain appearance of the outside stop in for great food. Fish and Chips is the best and they have been know for it for decades. Also burgers are top notch. Prices are still reasonable.

I've been in Mexico, have Mexican friends, and eat in Mexican restaurants at least 4 times a month. You will NOT find better than Aztecas in Macomb County. This place is even better than the establishments in Mexican town Detroit.“

“Corner bar is an excellent place for the summertime! The music is great, vibes are good and drinks are delicious. I had the watermelon salad paired with a Hugo spritz, both classic choices. They have a summer capri pop up right now which is so cute for the girlies to hang out and take pics! Service is phenomenal, Angie always takes care of me so well. Plus the owner is extremely friendly, greeting every table. It really shows what a great atmosphere they’ve created! Definitely will be back !!“

“I scheduled a Celebration of Life event on Wednesday afternoon July 13th, reserving one of the 2 private rooms that are available for gatherings. I gave a $100 deposit which was later subtracted from the total bill.. so there was no charge for the room. The large room holds up to 100 people, we were in the smaller room, having a guest list of 23. My guests raved about the food and our server Rebecca. She did a Great job, very attentive, and friendly. Thanks also to Jackie, and the rest of the staff. Kudos to the kitchen! The Salmon and Chicken Marsala were very popular that afternoon and cooked to perfection. Thank you Aspen for making my event so special!! My comment to Donna, the manager, you can certainly be proud of the way this restaurant functions. Relaxed atmosphere, professional employees, great food.....“

“First time trying Detroit style pizza and we knew we wanted to try Buddy’s. We weren’t totally sure what to order, but luckily Dejuan our server was incredible! He gave us wonderful recommendations, great service , and he was just fun! We had a delicious meal and a great time. We had 2 different kinds of pizza and the famous antipasto salad and it was all so good! So much so that we are going back tomorrow for more! And the manager Rondah stopped by our table to make sure everything was great and we let her know how happy we were with our entire experience, a true testament to what a great job she is doing running everything! We also loved that this is the original location on Conant St. and has a cool mural outside and such a great ambiance inside! If you are in Detroit this is the place to be!“

“My Dad is currently in the hospital battling sepsis. We’ve had a difficult time getting him to eat. He asked for lamb chops, so my husband searched until he found Filippa’s. “This is a great local brewery and restaurant. The turkey Reuben is fantastic. The outdoor seating area is spacious and has the ability to sit in covered or uncovered space. There is a great beer selection.

Afterwards, the Paint Creek Trail and the Clinton River trail are just steps away. Also, if you are wanting to shop, Downtown Rochester and Main Street are just a couple of blocks away.“

“Came in for an early lunch today and was pleasantly greeted by a sweet young lady at the front door. She had such a great smile and energy, very nice to see. Our server greeted us right away and was so upbeat. She took our order right away and our food came out so quick! As we were eating an older woman with long hair came to check on us. She was so nice and accommodating, asked us if everything was to our liking, if we needed anything else, and chatted with us as if we were old friends. We had such a great time that we will be back and hopefully see these three again. Just wish I would have gotten their names :(“
