The manager is a warm and friendly fellow and all the staff are quick to help or offer assistance. Derek the Bar tender did a great job of attending to us and make sure we were comfortable. If you’re in a “rush” this may not be the best place to stop in. The wait for a great meal is not bad at all, but you won’t get fast food or Coney Island fast… and the quality food is way above. I highly recommend stepping out and giving this place a try!“

“I came in expecting the usual dive bar scene — sticky floors, cheap beer, neon signs buzzing in the corner. Instead, Rachael and Amy treated me like I had just bought the place. I ordered a regular draft and somehow it felt like they had tapped a keg exclusively in my honor.

Halfway through my second beer, Rachael joked about “opening a tab,” but what really happened is Amy slid me a crisp stack of bills and told me not to worry about it — like the bar itself was sponsoring me. By closing time, when most people were stumbling toward their Ubers, they casually mentioned my private helicopter was waiting out back behind the dumpsters. They then flew me across Italy.

If you want five-star luxury while drinking a $3 domestic, this is the only bar on earth where that’s possible. Dive bar? Maybe. But with Rachael and Amy behind the counter, it feels like Buckingham Palace with better beer.“

“Came here for a quick dinner with some of my girlfriends after my wedding dress fitting, and it was the perfect spot. The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, and the menu offered plenty of variety with lots of great options to choose from. We each tried different chef selections, and everyone loved both their food and drinks. I especially appreciated the thoughtful mocktail menu for anyone not drinking but still wanting something special. The service was friendly and very attentive, which made the experience even better. This was all about the house made marinara sauce, WOW, packed a punch and so tasty with a hint of garlic. The cheese was not oily and the bread made the bite light. Two pies ❁ ❁ exceptional flavors, charming brewery clubhouse, I would make a special effort to come again. They also brew their own beer, well over 20 beers on draft. “My wife and daughter and I stopped in after the Christmas parade for some drinks and dinner. We got the tenderloin tips appetizer, which were flavorful and delicious. My wife ordered the 8oz filet and I had the fish and chips. Both were delicious and well made. The fish from.the fish and chips was also exceptionally breaded well with very nice breading and was not greasy at all, but perfectly crispy. The filet was also cooked perfectly and came with some yummy mashed potatoes. Our daughter had the cheese pizza which was also well made and not greasy at all. For the price, it was a very nice meal. We would definitely come back again to try more of their food and stay for a couple drinks.“

“I scheduled a Celebration of Life event on Wednesday afternoon July 13th, reserving one of the 2 private rooms that are available for gatherings. I gave a $100 deposit which was later subtracted from the total bill.. so there was no charge for the room. The large room holds up to 100 people, we were in the smaller room, having a guest list of 23. My guests raved about the food and our server Rebecca. She did a Great job, very attentive, and friendly. Thanks also to Jackie, and the rest of the staff. Kudos to the kitchen! “First time trying Detroit style pizza and we knew we wanted to try Buddy’s. We weren’t totally sure what to order, but luckily Dejuan our server was incredible! He gave us wonderful recommendations, great service , and he was just fun! We had a delicious meal and a great time. We had 2 different kinds of pizza and the famous antipasto salad and it was all so good! So much so that we are going back tomorrow for more! And the manager Rondah stopped by our table to make sure everything was great and we let her know how happy we were with our entire experience, a true testament to what a great job she is doing running everything! We also loved that this is the original location on Conant St. and has a cool mural outside and such a great ambiance inside! If you are in Detroit this is the place to be!“

“Rochester Mills is a great place to meet upnwith friends or family. The food and beer are great as far as pub food. The service is always nice, but frequently casual/slow. If you are in a hurry, I would recommend letting the server know. The restaurant is large and can accommodate a big group.“

“Came in for an early lunch today and was pleasantly greeted by a sweet young lady at the front door. She had such a great smile and energy, very nice to see. Our server greeted us right away and was so upbeat. She took our order right away and our food came out so quick! As we were eating an older woman with long hair came to check on us. She was so nice and accommodating, asked us if everything was to our liking, if we needed anything else, and chatted with us as if we were old friends. We had such a great time that we will be back and hopefully see these three again. Just wish I would have gotten their names :(“
