The place is small, a full bar and maybe 7-8 tables, but if you can find time to slip in and get a pizza, I highly recommend it. “This has got to be the local "Cheers Bar". Everyone knew each other and sounds like they meet there all the time. The bar was packed, not an empty seat around 330pm. Beers and shots were cheap. The locals even bought me one. If your looking for a great hideout bar with cheap drinks this place is it. If you don't like smoking, I probably wouldn't go here. Many years have of smoking in the Bar had given it that old pub smell. I'd go back for sure.“

“I almost hate to post my review as I have nothing but great things to say about this place. This might cause my favorite eating place to become super crowded! We eat here often. The food is delicious and reasonably priced in todays market. Everything we've tried is just great. There are daily specials on food and drinks. The hamburgers and fries are good. We've tried the pulled pork and Philly steak sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My only complaints is sometimes the jukebox music is too loud to be able to talk at your table and when the garage doors are open the smokers sit outside and smoke at tables where it clearly says not to do. This causes their smoke to come in the restaurant. Maybe they can't read. They do have live bands on the weekends too. If you haven't tried this place you certainly should. You won't be disappointed.“

From well maintained pin ball machines to 4 -player sports and fighting Arcades. Have a drink and some good food while you get a blast from the past with the classic games.“

From the vintage cash register to the antique bar, the Cook Hotel bar is a blast from the past and a pleasant change of pace. Our bartender, Christina, was friendly, funny, and all about great service. Make no mistake: this place is not fancy. They have a basic beer selection (bottles & cans), serve their wine from boxes, and don’t offer any food. But they do have a full selection of liquor and you can order a fabulous pizza from Tivoli’s (across the street), have it delivered, and eat it in the bar. If you ever find yourself in Richmond, definitely check the Cook Hotel bar out! You’ll be glad you did!“

“Visted here for the first time today, was looking for a quick lunch spot with a friend and this was the first place that popped up on Google. The atmosphere is lovely, I love the hanging lights and the decorations. Nancy the server was such a sweetheart and a fun person to talk to! We got jalapeno poppers as an appetizer, they are crispy and delicious and not very spicy at all, which is fine by me since I prefer mine to be more mild. Dipped in their ranch, they were amazing! I got a chicken pita and my friend got a hamburger, both were amazing and we we full and satisfied by the end. Will definitely be returning, thanks for the great experience!“
