“It's one of our faves! Best calamari around. Every time we come here, we end up ordering 2 of the calamari apps (just for 2 people), lol. My go-to is always the Seared Ahi Tuna (light seasoning). Hubby almost always gets the Brisket Dinner when it's available. The brisket is braised in Vernors VERNORS!! Being from MI, we know all the benefits that Vernors offers. The food is delicious, ice-cold beers and the friendliest staff.“

“This place is laid back and old style cool. Used to be an old Speakeasy and they kept that same feeling. For the elders that grew up with neighborhood bars on the corner actually IN the neighborhood, thats exactly what this is. Friendly and easy going with the tastiest bar burgers. Def a cool hangout placeVegetarian options: Hot dogs, hamburgers and chili are about it. No veggie anything here.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly. In the basement with narrow stairs.“

Dickweeds Bar Bar
299 North Ave, Mt Clemens

“I went to Dick Weeds one quiet night. Ralph was tending bar. He was friendly and gave great conversation. I told myself that I would return some day. About a month later, I posted that I was dying to meet new people and was totally bored with life. A stranger on social media "Dan" answered my post, from his wife's profile and invited me to go to Dick Weeds Monday and shoot some pool. I went there, the next coming Monday for the 2nd time. Another "Dan" that I already knew yelled my name as I walked in. We exchanged some chit-chat and then I met the "new Dan." I drank some beers, shot pool, Dan introduced me to numerous people and we closed the place. I have been a "regular" there, ever since that 2nd night. The atmosphere, customers and employees are all very cool. I never felt so "at home" anywhere, like I do at Dick Weeds. If you are bored to tears with life, like I was, I suggest you stop in and visit. If you are shy or feel uncomfortable in new surroundings, like I was, come in on a Monday and ask the bar tender to point out "Lee." I will greet you and take it from there. Hanging out there has changed my whole outlook on life. It was a missing piece to my puzzle that I needed in my life.“

“Cool place that has live music. We ended up sitting up front and center. I had the corned beef and cabbage. The cabbage was really good. The corned beef was tough and rubbery. The Bavarian pretzel with cheese was really good. My wife has the fish and Chips. The fish was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The waitstaff was very attentive. No fire sprinklers though.“

The Bilrus Bar
369 1/2 Northbound Gratiot Ave, Mt Clemens

“I am here for the dumbest of reasons. Some people in our group wanted to play pull tabs, and they have them here. We actually walked out of the previous place just now because their pull tab machine was down. I'm not kidding. Aside from the inevitable gambling losses, Bilrus Bar is very friendly to your wallet. A bottle of the Final Absolution - a smooth but powerful (10% alcohol!) Michigan brew - only set me back $5. A Red Stripe is only $1.50. The food menu is limited. Very limited. Like, ginormous soft pretzels, hot dogs, burgers, and...frozen pizza. They are up front about what the pizza is before you order. There's no grill for the burgers on the menu, but I will have to return to figure out how they make it. So, you have that, beer, and chips. Trust me when I say that this is enough. We ordered hot dogs and the ridiculous large soft pretzel. The dogs are all beef with the skin on, so there's a snap with every bite. Excellent, like your best day at the ballpark. Toppings can be mustard, ketchup, relish, onions, and Tostitos cheese dip. Wednesdays, they also have chili available. The pretzel was freshly baked in an oven, and it took a little while to make, but it was worth the wait. It was the diameter of a small pizza, and 3" thick. It's served with soft cheese dip, but we loaded up on the mustard. This is the best soft pretzel I've ever had, and it was plenty for a table to share. Country music played the whole time, and Engine Masters was on the TV. The folks here are friendly, and everyone seemed to know everyone. Prices are reasonable. The only downside is the limited menu, and if you're d*** enough to play pull tabs.“

Fast Eddie's Bar & Grill Bar
49 Crocker Blvd, Mt Clemens

“This has got to be the local "Cheers Bar". Everyone knew each other and sounds like they meet there all the time. The bar was packed, not an empty seat around 330pm. Beers and shots were cheap. The locals even bought me one. If your looking for a great hideout bar with cheap drinks this place is it. If you don't like smoking, I probably wouldn't go here. Many years have of smoking in the Bar had given it that old pub smell. I'd go back for sure.“

“We came in fri 30th for a quick lunch. It was very very busy. I watched the bartender/waitress Kelly running around waiting tables serving preparing drinks. That women is amazing. Kelly did not skip a beat. Whatever she's getting paid is not enough lol.i guess she's been their several years. My biggest complaint has been the soup. I've been their at night girls eating talking with 2 to3 girls on floor having issues either with each other. They put someone like Kelly on nights. They would have a great business. Thank you Kelly your amazing.Jim and Jenny“

“We haven't dined here in years but needed to eat somewhere in Mount Clemens on our way to another venue. We were able to get a seat at the bar. The bartender, Derek, was on his game. While making drinks for the entire restaurant, he never neglected his customers at the bar and surrounding hightop tables. We ordered the steakbite appetizer. They were perfectly cooked and the zip sauce was amazing. I had the garlic and goat cheese pizza, which was delicious, and my husband had the po boy sandwich (upgraded to shrimp instead of perch). Everything was yummy.I love the dimmed lighting, warm fireplace, and exposed brick walls which give the entire place a beautiful, cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back.“
