“This place worked out just fine. Couldn't find any places in the area where there wasn't a wait and we were seated immediately here. I just got around pizza which was only $12!! Prices are extremely good here. Now it's bar food but I think it was pretty good. Above average bar pizza. The music was loud but it's a bar. They have more than enough TVs for those who want to watch sporting events and they also have a couple of pool tables. Didn't really regret coming“
“Buddy's pizza is definitely at the top of Detroit style pizza. It's not overly thick and has great flavor throughout. The toppings are fresh and they let you do half and half in their large ones. The special seasoned sauce really seals the deal on the pizza and is free to add as a substitute for their original sauce. The wings were okay, but really small for the price. Probably wouldn't order those again. OThe waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and definitely helped us make informed decisions about the pizza. I would definitely recommend Buddy's and will eat there again.“
“We went on a night that they had live local music. What fun!! A true dive bar, which is my favorite! Space is tight inside and every shot on the pool table is a trick shot! There's a beautiful black cat that roams the property. The outside area is spacious and full of seating, including lots of porch swings. Booze is reasonably priced.“
“Nothing short of fantastic. Have been here multiple times and it’s close to home! Not once have I been disappointed in the food, service, or atmosphere. Hits the spot everytime and staff is very friendly and attentive. Would highly reccomend anyone try Regale!“
“If you're into the extreme music scene you already know about The Sanctuary. For those looking for a cool spot to catch a club-size concert in the Detroit area, this is an excellent venue. They've done a fantastic job updating the whole facility inside and out. Great bar staff and they offer Liquid Death (non-alcoloic beverage) which is a big plus for me personally. The Sanctuary books tons of killer bands, so keep a close eye on their event calendar.Parking in Hamtramck is a nightmare everywhere, so just plan on that being a headache, but that's not on the venue. That's just part of venturing into that side of town.“
“Saw a couple bands here from big ones like fleshgod apocalypse to small local bands and where the stage is and sound set up is solid for what it is. It's not a small place despite the name. They have it separate where you can chill in a back section away from the music and Chat with friends and drink. Overall this is a dope place.“
“Good burger bacon on point meatloaf was awesome patty melt was good too, over all with the price of food nowadays and that lack of quality most places past few years this is a go to for me, staff is awesome too good attitude friendly, you get a good deal for a reasonable “
“No food menu other than a soup of the day made by the barmaids mother. Whatever she feels like cooking, the day we visited is split pea, and not a fan of peas, this was loaded with chunks of ham and potatoes. Very stick to your ribs soup. A shot and a beer rounded out the “meal” the bartender was super friendly even had us sign her up”out of towners” book as we were from Alabama. When you search dive bar this is a go too place. Don’t let the doorbell deter you, or the seedy neighborhood. Stop in and see the “Oldest Bar in Detroit”“
“Holy moly! I've been to some fantastic cigar clubs around the world. Don Christos ranks with some of the best. Magnificent bar. The wait staff are not only attentive, but drop dead gorgeous. Top shelf wine and liquor selection. And the cigars are terrific.“
“Detroit Blues Cafe is not just a bar- it's an experience! The best lounge in Detroit. Grown folk Thursday's is my night, have to get there early if you want a seat.To walk into a bar and get instantly greeted with a smile and a cocktail that breathes sophistication is a moment that should be savored.I highly recommend this business. The vibe, the atmosphere, the amazing music, excellent food, the ballroom dancing, and the well-dressed men are some of the highlights. The service is at an exceptional level of professionalism from the wait staff, and cooks, to the security team, consistently. The manager, Amber, is my no-nonsense girl, I just love her!The ambience here is always inviting and comfortable. It's always a treat!“
“This was my 5th time at Mackenzie's and finally able to sit at the bar. Adam, the bartender, was friendly, engaging, and provided great food recommendation. The perch - lightly blackened and I wasn't disappointed. Great local bar - clean, friendly and good jukebox. Would definitely recommend.“
“Best bartenders around!! Great wait staff and let me tell ya the owner is killer!! If you’re looking for a place to settle in and feel like home Dickweeds is the place to be! They have the best prices in town too!!! Dickweeds wins in my book hands down!!!“
“Very welcoming comfortable atmosphere excellent service Best buy I've been to in a long time. They have restaurant quality food. Great drinks. Jamie Brittany Kayla Stacy And Nicole always make sure did everyone has an excellent time. The barbacks make sure the restaurant is clean and the glasses are good. The cooks in the back make excellent food.“
“A group of about 14 of us was there yesterday to watch Lions game. Place was fairly busy with only one waitress and let me tell you WOW. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Kudos to the chef as well as there was no long wait for it, came out hot and it was delicious. I highly recommend.“
“I ordered a crab boil for the first time yesterday and I’m back here a day later ordering 2 more crab boil bags. Everything was so delicious, lol I couldn’t stop eating. It’s safe to say they are my new favorite place to eat seafood. I also ordered a chicken salad that was awesome as well. Will definitely be back here. Thanks hook&reel.“
“Nice little family-owned bar in hamtramck me in the wife went and everybody was very friendly they had the Detroit tigers on and the beverages were cold and the service was great if you're in the area Detroit or hamtramck definitely check them“
“The New York Strip special on Tuesday is fabulous and a great value! Delroy is working the grill and makes your steak to order. Although I am likely in the minority, I love my steak blue rare and Delroy doesn't disappoint. Overall, the bar has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and a wonderful group of people who regularly come to hang out.“
“A great find. How can you top a probably close to a100 year old house, Converted to a bar. On a side street, off beaten path of jos.campau . 5 chairs at a small bar, 4 were occupied upon arrival - the only people in there. They soon left , so up to the bar to chat with a very friendly bartender. Informed that place is owned by the same people that own polish village and that they use location for parties, when the village is booked. If you like cheap drinks and a dive bar atmosphere- try it!“
“It's one of our faves! Best calamari around. Every time we come here, we end up ordering 2 of the calamari apps (just for 2 people), lol. My go-to is always the Seared Ahi Tuna (light seasoning). Hubby almost always gets the Brisket Dinner when it's available. The brisket is braised in Vernors VERNORS!! Being from MI, we know all the benefits that Vernors offers. The food is delicious, ice-cold beers and the friendliest staff.“
“We had my cousin’s wedding shower here yesterday and the service was more than I have experienced in past events that I’ve hosted. I was incredibly impressed with how well Clint and his partner made sure the entire shower was perfect for my cousin and her mom (who hosted the event) I host a lot of events and fundraisers and hope to have these two servers to work with in the future. Thank you for helping to make yesterday so special and truly so easy.“
“Omg, this place is so cool. The atmosphere and staff make it so unique. The lighting is a little brighter, and music is played a little softer, so it makes conversion and laughs more enjoyable. The mead here is very good. There are a lot of beers to choose from, and they are often rotated. Once a keg is empty, they will bring in a different keg (brand and flavor). I love to taste beer, and they offer flights. The staff and owner are super friendly and great to talk to. They also support local businesses by bringing in local foods and treats.“
“Great food and atmosphere. Hand pressed burgers. They get their meat from Eastern Market and it's never frozen. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Even the cook came to our table to make sure we were happy. And, it's a historic place. Been around since prohibition.“
“I enjoyed my drinks at the Shamrock Pub in Utica. The Shamrock has a cozy atmosphere and a down-to-earth feel. It's a restaurant that families eat at with their kids, but you can still enjoy a selection of beers and liquor at the bar. The outdoor seating is nice on warm days. The staff is kind and helpful. The menu is simple and the food is tasty.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian choices are limited. Vegetarians are ordering a cold cheese sandwich and some fries.“
“Robusto's is a nice cigar lounge. There's a good selection of cigars, and they are priced well. The drinks are delicious, and the service is exceptional. Unfortunately, we arrived after the kitchen closed at 9:45p, so we did not get to enjoy the food, but we'll be back! As an alternative, our waitress made a charcuterie board, which is perfect for my wine. Overall, it was a great time!Parking: Free parking lot, plenty of spaces.“
“There used to be a bunch of dive bars like this in Hamtramck. Back when bars were for drinking, socializing and not much else. Now it is one of the few holdouts. Visit to see a living museum, if nothing else. Places like this are going fast, unfortunately.“
“We booked the side room for a small graduation party. Malones was fantastic! The staff was attentive to details and always made sure our guests had what they needed! Our appetizers were plentiful, and our entrees were delicious. We had plenty of positive feedback and look forward to lunch/ dinner or another event there soon!“
“Hands down, my absolute FAVORITE BAR in the Detroit Metro area. August the bartender is one of the coolest people you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting and knows how to pour a damn good drink. Be sure to ask August for a shot of Fernet and he'll tell you "It's like 1000 fairies dancing on your tongue!".“
“I had a catered event here and Lisa and the Staff were fantastic! I did a spaghetti buffet dinner with salad and appetizers and the food was amazing. Now I go to Bar Bingo night on Wed on occasion for the food and the fun. I must say best Nachos around as well!“
“So I gotta commend Al or whomever it is that owns Al's ... EVERYTHING is roughly twice as much as it used to be cost wise. Al didn't do his ppl like that. Took my stepson for a burger on his bday. He's 23. Anyway, 2 cheeseburgers & a basket of fries for $21.50??? WHAAAAAATTT??? lol. Yep. All day long AL! Much appreciated. Thank you.“
“I have stopped into JSP many times and have always had a great experience! As a local, they are a go-to for delicious burgers and drink specials. They also have karaoke on Friday nights and fish fry specials including perch and coconut shrimp dinners. I recently ordered a coconut shrimp dinner for carryout and was super impressed! The service is always fast and friendly, even when the place is packed. They are also great for catering!“
“Innovative and well-crafted mixed drinks, warm atmosphere (feels like home), hardy laughs, and good times. Extensive and premier spirits/wine list. Love the choice of side dishes; they make a great paring. You couldn’t go wrong making a trip here!!“
“Some friends and I went for Funk Night. It was great! The DJs (Frank R. & DJ Head) had us dancing all night. The beer prices were pretty reasonable and the selection was nice. The sound system is good. While it was powerful, it wasn't too loud, so the sonic experience was pleasant. The outdoor area would have been nicer to hang out in were it not so cold. I look forward to going back in the future when we it's warmer. The crowd was okay, but their odor was an issue. A ton of bearded hipsters and drunken hippie-ish ladies. No judgement, but we were only prepared for the music to be funky; not the people.Overall, I'd still go back for Funk Night again.“
“Owner Ray. Gentleman. Polite. Helpful. Respectful. Nice place. Good food. Clean bar. Clean restrooms. Bartenders polite. nice and helpful.. Ray is a very good pool player (shooter). 5 + Stars. ArmenParking: Very good lighting in rear parking lot behind bar.“
“I did not see the place before it was renovated during Covid but this place is really cool. As a female, I feel super comfortable coming in here alone and having a drink or two. The owner did a great job updating the place. And the owner is so genuine and kind. Check this place out!“
“This place is laid back and old style cool. Used to be an old Speakeasy and they kept that same feeling. For the elders that grew up with neighborhood bars on the corner actually IN the neighborhood, thats exactly what this is. Friendly and easy going with the tastiest bar burgers. Def a cool hangout placeVegetarian options: Hot dogs, hamburgers and chili are about it. No veggie anything here.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly. In the basement with narrow stairs.“
“Went here while i was out of town working. The Reuben was beyond amazing. The bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable and was on top of your every needs without be over bearing. She was also from Poland which being a person of the same background it was nice. Go in there and check out there food and drinks and play a game of pool. Your body will be happy you did.“
“Though the outside is unassuming, the food here is absolutely delicious. You would never know that you could find some of the best American food in metro Detroit in a strip mall in Eastpointe. The spicy cheese curds are a must, and this place is known for having great wings. They also grill a mean burger. The bartender was super friendly, even offering us free candy while we waited for our order. We will definitely be back!“
“Entering the The High Dive is like being transported to the Victorian Era. The cocktail parlor is filled with stained glass, Victorian fixtures and hand crafted wall paper. The owner/bar tender is a world renowned artist who has poured his heart into this establishment and it shows. The cocktails are delicious and they use fresh ingredients. The drinks are also reasonably priced. Most nights The High Dive is supporting local artist and DJ's and has some of the best techno nights. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend stopping in for a drink or checking out one of their events.“
“Our Family owned this bar back in the late 70s- early 80s, I was just a child. Now I own a great historic tavern in Marquette, Mi called Remies. 4th generation in the business, I believe the Candlelight and Remies are very similar, I would love to go back someday. God bless both places, and all the great times they have provided.“
“Didn’t dine in. Food was great, however, restaurant needs to invest in better plastic bags that the seafood boil comes in. They put my food in two bags which was great. However, both bags came a loose at the seam at the bottom of the bag. The juices and liquids came out of the bag into the Styrofoam container. This was a very messy process as I was trying to preserve the juice and somehow tie a knot at the end of the bag in order to pour the juice back into the bag. I was at work and did not have containers to transition the food into. Definitely they need to invest in better bags that don’t bust at the bottom at the seams.“
“I just love Suzy's Bar, especially on FAT TUESDAY. This little bar is a staple in the Hamtramck, a neighborhood Dive Bar. If you are able to make it down for this special day, I would say it is a Bucket List Item for things to experience in Metro Detroit. Last year, I was introduced to this CRAZY DAY and we couldn't wait to do it all over again. Be prepared for cramped spaces and a whole lot of friendly people. We enjoy having a few beers and engaging in the silliness. There are quite a few bars to visit, but Suzy's is one of my favorites. We can't wait for next year.“
“Visited this restaurant late last week, parking lot seemed pretty full but were able to get sat immediately. My family and I were greeted quickly by Erin who was more than happy to accommodate the allergies of the group. The drinks are always to my liking and bread and butter are a must. She recommended the pan fried perch and it beat my expectations. Will be back soon! What a delight she was.“
“The panko breaded perch with the Hawaiian salad was excellent. I love the spaced out relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a private conversation. Service was spot on. I also like a restaurant that serves rolls or bread that is specially made served right after you sit down. Nice job.“
“First. Great food. Philly, burger or Reuben and you will be satisfied with what you’ve eaten at the price. Generous and delicious. Second, everyone is friendly and engaging. Last, best owners. Totally involved and happy to see happy customers.“
“Delicious. I highly recommend the nachos. I love it because they are family friendly and quick with the food. It's family owned its not a chain and they make awesome margaritas!!Kid-friendliness: My kids liked it and they can be picky“
“This place, tucked to the side and a bit hidden in Mount Clemens, has some of the most fantastic pizza I've had in the area. The place is small, a full bar and maybe 7-8 tables, but if you can find time to slip in and get a pizza, I highly recommend it. We got the Todd Father and it was large, well cooked, and the vegetables tasted extremely fresh. The atmosphere is dark, relaxed, and warm, which makes for a fantastic location for a 1 on 1 night out. Couldn't reccomend Little Loraine's more.“
“This has got to be the local "Cheers Bar". Everyone knew each other and sounds like they meet there all the time. The bar was packed, not an empty seat around 330pm. Beers and shots were cheap. The locals even bought me one. If your looking for a great hideout bar with cheap drinks this place is it. If you don't like smoking, I probably wouldn't go here. Many years have of smoking in the Bar had given it that old pub smell. I'd go back for sure.“
“I stopped in for the 1rst time Superbowl Sunday & enjoyed a fried turkey chop dinner w brussel sprouts & fries. Surprisingly delicious., I'll b back for 2nds soon. The staff was great w good positive energy & the music & sound system was bumping. Definitely good times happening on the Eastside of Detroit.“
“I went to Mike's on the water the last day they were open for the season, which was November 26, 2023, I also went with friends there, 3 of us had the end of there season special which was a hamburger, fries, and a pop for $8, we all enjoyed our food, it was cooked to perfection, the waitress was very friendly, they also had a beautiful Christmas tree there“
“Brought my son and his friends for his birthday. The staff was fantastic! Very friendly and helpful. We had our own table and area for snacks and drinks and they provided all of the plates, cups, and plasticware! We will definitely be back and would recommend for a party or fun night out.“
