“Mackenzie's Tavern is a wonderful local drinking and dining experience with something for everyone. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient in their service. The tavern has a very extensive seafood menu towards the end of the week like Thursday and Friday and sometimes Wednesdays. The rest of the time the tavern has a very good bar food type menu featuring Burger or some such. The only day that the kitchen is not open is Sundays when you can bring in your own food or have it delivered. The tavern has a breakfast service that goes from opening till around lunch time and the omelettes are huge and fill you up. You can watch most local sports there and the tavern features an 85-in TV that is surprisingly large for the size of the tavern.“

“I’ve never had authentic Cajun food in all my 43 years of existence until today. This food is SO GOOD that it was almost a religious experience. The gumbo is freaking FIRE. flavorful. Well seasoned. Perfectly cooked. They have the most delicious coleslaw I ever had and the grand finale is the Cajun angel pasta. Great portion size. Perfectly prepared. And they don’t skimp on the protein. It was all very well packaged and the best part is that it’s budget friendly when it comes to pricing. I was so in love with this food when I tasted it that I actually almost cried. My hat is off to the staff and the chefs. If you should ever close it will be a travesty. It’s like getting a taste of the N’Orleans life right here in Michigan. TAKE. MY. MONEY. Was told I'd get a discount for different dates, picked the date just to be told basically the same thing again... I kept my word and she didn't... Won't be doing ANY business with them...“
