This was all about the house made marinara sauce, WOW, packed a punch and so tasty with a hint of garlic. The cheese was not oily and the bread made the bite light. Two pies ❁ ❁ exceptional flavors, charming brewery clubhouse, I would make a special effort to come again. They also brew their own beer, well over 20 beers on draft. “Came in for an early lunch today and was pleasantly greeted by a sweet young lady at the front door. She had such a great smile and energy, very nice to see. Our server greeted us right away and was so upbeat. She took our order right away and our food came out so quick! As we were eating an older woman with long hair came to check on us. “I came in expecting the usual dive bar scene — sticky floors, cheap beer, neon signs buzzing in the corner. Instead, Rachael and Amy treated me like I had just bought the place. I ordered a regular draft and somehow it felt like they had tapped a keg exclusively in my honor.

Halfway through my second beer, Rachael joked about “opening a tab,” but what really happened is Amy slid me a crisp stack of bills and told me not to worry about it — like the bar itself was sponsoring me. By closing time, when most people were stumbling toward their Ubers, they casually mentioned my private helicopter was waiting out back behind the dumpsters. They then flew me across Italy.

If you want five-star luxury while drinking a $3 domestic, this is the only bar on earth where that’s possible. Dive bar? Maybe. But with Rachael and Amy behind the counter, it feels like Buckingham Palace with better beer.“

“Came here for a quick dinner with some of my girlfriends after my wedding dress fitting, and it was the perfect spot. The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, and the menu offered plenty of variety with lots of great options to choose from. We each tried different chef selections, and everyone loved both their food and drinks. I especially appreciated the thoughtful mocktail menu for anyone not drinking but still wanting something special. The service was friendly and very attentive, which made the experience even better. “Mackenzie's Tavern is a wonderful local drinking and dining experience with something for everyone. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient in their service. The tavern has a very extensive seafood menu towards the end of the week like Thursday and Friday and sometimes Wednesdays. The rest of the time the tavern has a very good bar food type menu featuring Burger or some such. The only day that the kitchen is not open is Sundays when you can bring in your own food or have it delivered. The tavern has a breakfast service that goes from opening till around lunch time and the omelettes are huge and fill you up. You can watch most local sports there and the tavern features an 85-in TV that is surprisingly large for the size of the tavern.“

“The Hideout shocked me, i drove by for many years and figured it was a hole/little bar. When I walked in the interior was very nice. So the business end of the review, i had a cheeseburger with grilled onions and it was so darn good I was shocked. I came back the following night it was so good hoping they could replicate it, im not here for the drinks but the cheeseburger! Once again the chef comes through with a home run. My wife ordered the 8oz filet and I had the fish and chips. Both were delicious and well made. The fish from.the fish and chips was also exceptionally breaded well with very nice breading and was not greasy at all, but perfectly crispy. The filet was also cooked perfectly and came with some yummy mashed potatoes. Our daughter had the cheese pizza which was also well made and not greasy at all. For the price, it was a very nice meal. We would definitely come back again to try more of their food and stay for a couple drinks.“

“I went to Jimmy's during on March 20th to watch NCAA games. Lisa was my bartender. She was great. She put on the games for me. I asked her to make me a Spanish coffee and looked it up so she can make it for me. She did a good job with that. I had soup and a tuna melt both were very good and satisfying. I totally recommend this place and I will be back.“
