“I had a taste for barbecue, went to Ken on Gratiot and they were closed, so I Google barbecue near me and Stonewood Smokehouse came up on Utica and Gratiot. I thought I walked into the Twilight zone the place was a bar I was looking for a restaurant. But the owner Gary saw the look on my face I was ready to turn around. He was like come sit down, want a drink, I told him no he asked me what I wanted I told him ribs he had the waitress bring me a menu he was very nice. So I got a rib dinner. And when I tell you those was the best ribs they were so good and the greens had a nice kick. A must try.“

I got the triple dipper and yeah lmfao it's worth the $16 I've seen some complain about (Its under $20... and you get 3 apps... whats the problem people?) but everything was licious, I love it, I will be coming back. Also our server(s) were super legit. They looked like they had low staff because we had 2 waiters back and forth but everyone was sweet and so nice, food came out quick, and we had a big thing of chips my lorsh ate them all. I don't remember our waitress name but she had black hair, tatts and a couple piercings, I know she had at least one and she was amazing, chatty and complimented my ma on her outfit 💜 Love yall mwah. Exactly as its reputation suggests - a local, family run pub with cheap drinks, friendly service and tons of character & history. Apparently they have some homemade (literally) food 1 or 2 days a week that sounded like a great bargain. During my visit a local came in with some fresh pies and I was offered a slice. A must visit for sure.“

“We went to Old Pony Martini Bar and loved the atmosphere! It has the feel of a great old neighborhood corner bar, casual, friendly, and welcoming. The service was excellent, and our hamburgers were delicious with hot, crispy French fries. There was nothing better than an ice cold beer on a hot Sunday afternoon. It made for a perfect afternoon. We’ll definitely be back!“

“I had two brown slushies on a night I thought a band was playing and next thing I knew it was labor day weekend and I was alone at a subway wondering if a train will arrive, where will it take me, and will there ever be another if I don't go on.

It was an interesting precursor, and I obeyed the voice later that told me to stay home and I lucked out on the train having a stop in my closet.

“Mackenzie's Tavern is a wonderful local drinking and dining experience with something for everyone. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient in their service. The tavern has a very extensive seafood menu towards the end of the week like Thursday and Friday and sometimes Wednesdays. The rest of the time the tavern has a very good bar food type menu featuring Burger or some such. The only day that the kitchen is not open is Sundays when you can bring in your own food or have it delivered. The tavern has a breakfast service that goes from opening till around lunch time and the omelettes are huge and fill you up. You can watch most local sports there and the tavern features an 85-in TV that is surprisingly large for the size of the tavern.“
