“Mackenzie's Tavern is a wonderful local drinking and dining experience with something for everyone. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient in their service. The tavern has a very extensive seafood menu towards the end of the week like Thursday and Friday and sometimes Wednesdays. The rest of the time the tavern has a very good bar food type menu featuring Burger or some such. The only day that the kitchen is not open is Sundays when you can bring in your own food or have it delivered. The tavern has a breakfast service that goes from opening till around lunch time and the omelettes are huge and fill you up. You can watch most local sports there and the tavern features an 85-in TV that is surprisingly large for the size of the tavern.“

“Went here for a little get together with friends and it was super cute. It’s a small little pace right on Main Street but super warm inviting atmosphere. It’s intimate and inviting. My go to drink is gin and tonic and here I their lavender gin & tonic. They distill their own spirits and have a large selection of freshly made syrup and mixers. I didn’t have the opportunity to stay long, but I would love to come back again and try some of their other concoctions.“

“Came here for my Wife’s Birthday and it was an amazing experience. Waitress and staff were extremely nice and friendly. They made my wife’s birthday feel extra special for her. The food was absolutely spectacular. We had gotten the Brisket Quesadilla and Turkey Sando as our main dishes. We had then gotten the Honk Kong French Toast as a dessert and it was all easily 5/5’s. Everything was delicious and made and cooked perfectly. Plenty of food for the price and amazing value and absolutely delicious. We’d easily recommend this place to anyone!“

“Great service and the food was delicious had a slim jim and a grilled hamberger with French fries. Our car broke down in there parking lot and the employees were so very helpful trying to help get it started before the tow truck came. We will definitely go back.“

“I planned ahead and made a reservation in advance on 12/3 for Thursday 12/18 at 745pm for 3 people at The Viridian Room. We specifically made this reservation through their Instagram/Resy. My two friends and I show up, and not only is the Viridian Room closed, but so is French Toast, despite their hours stating the close at 9pm. I tried calling to no avail, and ended up going to another Clawson bar, Local, instead. We were so excited to try this place and extremely disappointed we were not able to attend. Attached below is the confirmation of my reservation.

Edit 1/16/26: The manager had reached out to me via text and was kind and apologetic. She offered to reschedule the reservation and provide a free appetizer. My friends and I went back last night and had wonderful drinks and a snack! The bartenders were very kind and prompt. We will definitely go back. Thank you for making things right!“

“I had a pleasant experience with this place. All of the food seemed fresh, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is very vibrant.

The 2 times in which I went, our group sat outside, being that it was summer. They had trivia, which I assume is every Wednesday.

As for food, I got the caprese sandwich on the first occasion and the then the Tomato basil soup on the second. Both were good but the caprese sandwich was very good. While the menu is not huge, it does offer the basics and has a few healthier options, such as vegan dishes.

Overall, the atmosphere and food qualiy make this place worth checking out.“

“We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“

“We went here for our friend's birthday, and it was fantastic! I had the French toast, and it was light and fluffy with delicious sweet cream!

One friend had the steak benny and really enjoyed it, while another got the southwest benny, but subbed the chorizo for carne asada. A couple toppings accidentally got left off, but our server was SO sweet and helpful, and got those for us right away!

Another friend got the Monte Cristo, which was also phenomenal. I snagged a bite, and I really loved the way they batter and fry the whole sandwich! The twisty fries it came with are also delicious!

I ordered an affogato as my beverage, and it was a very fun, fancy experience! It comes in a cute raised glass and you get to pour the shot yourself. It was delicious! I finished it before the food even arrived!

“My husband and I love going to Stray Cat Lounge for date nights—we’ve been there countless times! The live music is always so much fun, with a great variety of styles. They have an excellent drink selection, and I especially love ordering a chocolate martini from Nick, the bartender, who makes fantastic drinks. We also enjoy smoking cigars while we’re there.

“Went there yesterday with my husband for our anniversary dinner. The decor and atmosphere is lovely. We had a drink at the bar before getting a table for dinner. All staff were super friendly and courteous. I had the Perch Piccata which was amazing. It was a very large portion so I had plenty to take home for another meal. My family and I have enjoyed birthdays and family gathering here at Bella Limone and the food is always amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is comforting. But there is always something off about the service. Every time I’ve gone, I’ve run into some issue with the service, whether it be servers forgetting to take drink orders, infrequently returning to the table, or making off putting remarks. It’s a family-style restaurant, but often I find myself missing serving utensils and clean plates.
Despite the service flaws, Bella Limone is definitely still worth a visit. The food and drinks are always fantastic. If the service got a little bit more of an upgrade, especially around how the family-style dining is done, it would be flawless!“
