“This is honestly my favorite coffee spot. Wonderful pastries, lovely coffee and atmosphere. However, this morning I had a strange experience— got my usual order (honey lavender latte), but it tasted burnt and like there was no syrup in it at all (totally not a typical experience there, btw). With anxiety coursing through my veins, I gathered the courage to ask for my latte to be remade, which I have never done, and hate doing. The woman at the register gave me a suspicious look, almost like I was trying to pull a fast one, or steal something even though I was handing her the full cup of coffee to be replaced. Just very hesitant to adhere to such a request. It made me feel ridiculous for even asking... Instead, a barista, who was absolutely lovely, approached me and kindly offered to remake it for me. It was delicious. I was thankful for her willingness to interject into that conversation and help out (even though she was already incredibly busy and working her tail off.) All-in-all though, my experience with the woman at the register made me feel yucky and unvalued, as someone who very regularly spends $7.50 on a coffee there.“

“One year later, I came back to Black Salt. They have made so many changes for the better! The ambiance is still so cozy, I noticed more art. The drinks were delicious and not too sweet this time around, and the SPELLS! Last year, when I got a drink with ritual, the bartender basically did it for me. This time around, they give you supplies to do your own spell! Candles, crystals, ribbon, herbs, you name it. It felt way more authentic and unique. “I have gotten takeout from Amici's before, but this was my first time dining in! Really nice ambiance, we came around 7:30pm on a Saturday. Dim lighting, high seating, outdoor heated patio, and a super cool bar. Service was great too. I really like their pizza, more of a thicker crust, and the toppings are fantastic. They have great speciality pizza options, it was hard to choose which ones to try! We settled on the 'Pep In Your Step' and 'Shrooms and Grass', both in the smallest size avail. The banana peppers on the Pep In Your Step were such a good acidic addition to the meaty pizza. Also pepperoni cups! Best pepperoni shape (in my opinion). The Shrooms and Grass sauce was delicious, you can really taste the truffle. Definitely recommend! Great place to bring a group to share. We were only a party of 2 so luckily we had a bunch of leftovers for the next day ;)“

“First time at the RH house and I was pretty impressed. First of all, the service was fabulous. The waitress was real friendly and food came out quickly. There were four of us -two of us had salads which were delicious and fresh. The other two had some kind of wraps and they said they were quite tasty. “Entering the The High Dive is like being transported to the Victorian Era. The cocktail parlor is filled with stained glass, Victorian fixtures and hand crafted wall paper. The owner/bar tender is a world renowned artist who has poured his heart into this establishment and it shows. The cocktails are delicious and they use fresh ingredients. The drinks are also reasonably priced. Most nights The High Dive is supporting local artist and DJ's and has some of the best techno nights. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend stopping in for a drink or checking out one of their events.“

I would recommend the lounge for a drink but not for a full meal - worth the wait for a table downstairs. The shrimp with yuzu app was tasty, the sashimi was fresh, sushi was okay (not bad but not super memorable). My boyfriend and I both got the whiskey sours and they were very tart. I would come back for the ambiance and the apps/sake. Random critique but organize the menus! It was kind of challenging to shuffle through the three menus front and back as some had similar food items/cocktails and others had different. Streamlining the menu would do wonders.“
“We tucked into the bar on a Saturday night for an early evening cocktail. They have a Saturday happy hour menu! So...the lovely barkeep took our drink order quickly so we could partake. A shared Caesar salad and zoodle/pasta dish later and we are sufficiently suffonsified. House made sauces are delicious (we tried the marinara but I'd like to try palomino next time) and there is no pressure to drink like fish or overindulge in food. The entire staff was incredible — so kind and efficient throughout the night but my hero is the person who gave me an extra to go waffle box. We love the hot pretzel appetizers and the large burgers that are very generously portioned. We have been here multiple times and have never had something that we didn’t like! All of their food was kept at a manageable price range -and not to mention that all of there food is portioned to feed at least a few. The beverages were reasonably priced and fantastic tasting. The lemon drops we had were great and consistent, considering we had 3 they taste the same each time! EVERYTHING WE ORDERED WAS DELICIOUS. Caesar salad, crab cake, lamb ribs (top tier), fries, Brussel sprouts, and pita chips and dip. Our food arrived hot and within a timely manner. The ambiance was nice! Parking was fair. “My server informed me at the very end of my meal that the restaurant has lied to customers for over a year about having gluten free carrot cake and they have just been feeding people with intolerances gluten containing cake. So disrespectful. I got glutened after I spent $200 on my meal and was assured I had chosen gluten free dishes and precautions were being taken. Like look, I get it. Food allergies are a pain in the *ss but if you can't accommodate people with them don't lie to your customers. There are lots of other places in the metro area who do take allergies and medical conditions seriously. Way to ruin my birthday. Im going to be sick for a whole week because I have Celiac Disease. “I ate here on Wednesday night (Feb 7 2024) with a large group, 12 people for a friend's birthday, and it was fantastic! The food and drinks were incredible, but I was most impressed with our server, a guy with a black beanie and beard. Our group split our check into 6 different checks and I imagine it was such a pain to organize everything given we all had multiple plates and drinks. “My second time around to come here and it did not disappoint. The first time I tried their sandwich and I wasn't very fond of it because it was a little dry for my taste, i decided to come again because I loved the service and atmosphere. This second time was great! I tried something different and the food was definitely more to my liking. The service was always exceptional! And the atmosphere is so cute. My husband and I brought my mom here for her birthday lunch and we enjoyed it all. I would recommend coming here for a brunch/lunch.“
“We really had a good time at Joe Muer West Bloomfield last night. The restaurant is spacious with a cool, relaxed ambiance. There's a dress code to eat here so be sure to adhere to that. Everyone in the restaurant was dressed business casual at minimum and it honestly added to the upscale vibe of the whole place. We started off with a dozen oysters, half east coast half west. The presentation was impeccable and the oysters super fresh. The lobster bisque and clam chowder were also fresh and lip-smacking tasty . For our main dishes, we had the miso glazed Chilean sea bass, the king crab tagliatelle pasta, and the crab stuffed Atlantic flounder. All three were amazing; filling and delicious and didn't sit heavy in the stomach. We ended the night with some of their coconut chiffon cake - which is a must have; its a combo that's impossible to describe but so wonderful that you'd wonder why no one else ever thought of it - and their cookie sundae. Again, perfect! But probably my personal favorite was the Re-Fashioned bourbon cocktail, which is, and I quote: "Knob Kreek Rye, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, Rabarbaro Zucca Amaro, Angostura bitters, orange peel". It's absolutely perfect, especially those who enjoy a good bourbon drink. Tiny sips of this enhanced every single dish and really made my night. Our server was Josh and he made the whole dining experience fun and memorable. He was super personable, responsive and attentive. Thank you, Josh, for a great dining experience! Overall, this place is fantastic and I'd recommend it without hesitation.“
