“I planned ahead and made a reservation in advance on 12/3 for Thursday 12/18 at 745pm for 3 people at The Viridian Room. We specifically made this reservation through their Instagram/Resy. My two friends and I show up, and not only is the Viridian Room closed, but so is French Toast, despite their hours stating the close at 9pm. I tried calling to no avail, and ended up going to another Clawson bar, Local, instead. We were so excited to try this place and extremely disappointed we were not able to attend. Attached below is the confirmation of my reservation.

Edit 1/16/26: The manager had reached out to me via text and was kind and apologetic. She offered to reschedule the reservation and provide a free appetizer. My friends and I went back last night and had wonderful drinks and a snack! The bartenders were very kind and prompt. We will definitely go back. Thank you for making things right!“

The Yuzu Cheesecake and Azuki Red Bean Paste Swiss Roll Cake are must-tries, bursting with authentic and refreshing tastes. The Matcha Latte and Raspberry Rose Yuzu are equally exceptional and perfect for a refreshing treat. The staff at White Wolf are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The female chef went above and beyond by offering us a sample of their delicious banana bread, which was a nice touch. It’s evident that everyone who works there is genuinely happy, and this joy is reflected in the quality of their products. If you’re looking for a place that combines unique Japanese flavors with top-notch service, White Wolf Japanese Patisserie is the place to go. Highly recommended!“

“Mackenzie's Tavern is a wonderful local drinking and dining experience with something for everyone. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient in their service. The tavern has a very extensive seafood menu towards the end of the week like Thursday and Friday and sometimes Wednesdays. The rest of the time the tavern has a very good bar food type menu featuring Burger or some such. The only day that the kitchen is not open is Sundays when you can bring in your own food or have it delivered. The tavern has a breakfast service that goes from opening till around lunch time and the omelettes are huge and fill you up. You can watch most local sports there and the tavern features an 85-in TV that is surprisingly large for the size of the tavern.“

“We just held a baby shower in the enclosed outdoor Patio at the Troy location, January 18th. Was worried it would be cold since it was in the low 20s outside and windy, but it was wonderful. Staff was wonderful to work with from all the pre-planning with Jenna through the entire staff at the Troy Location. Servers were very attentive to all the guests. Manager worked with us on how and when we wanted the appetizers served, followed by lunch and then dessert. It was a great location for the shower. It was like having it in our own backyard but with service and none of the cleanup! The fireplace with the chairs by it was a great place to display prizes for the guests and a great place for the new mom and dad to open the gifts with everyone being able to see. It was easy to walk around and talk to everyone. We will definitely recommend to our friends for future events.“

“We were instantly greeted and seated. Our server Robby was awesome. The entire staff was friendly. Chef Johnny is very talented and friendly. I love that he greets all guest and will even bring your food out himself. For starters we had the shrimp and crab cakes. They were crispy on the outside and melted in your mouth. The surprise with these was that there was whole shrimp inside. We loved it. The sauce on top was just the right amount. The salmon with saffron rice, coconut curry sauce and green apple slaw was the best salmon I've had in a while. The pairing was new for me but it worked. The salmon was juicy and perfectly cooked. When paired with everything on my plate it was like fireworks. Everything popped and was amazing. My husband had the beef strudel. Now he was thinking it was gonna be like a beef wellington but no. When he put his fork into the perfectly crispy flaky crust and into the most tender beef either of us have ever had, OMG. With the first bite all he could do was say "WOW"(sorry about how loud he was). The flavors of that plate were incredible. The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. It was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet and the smear of lemon sauce on the side elevated the flavors. The drinks. I had the rainforest and my husband had the Johnny Manhattan. When we saw how small the glasses were we were definitely worried. That feeling quickly faded with the first sip. The drinks may be small but they are strong and delicious. We had to pace ourselves with those. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to everyone there for a great time and for great service.“

“My daughter and I enjoyed a Mothers Day lunch here together. The food was fresh and tasty. We shared a strawberry salad and hamburger. Kitchen kindly split the entrees for us in back.
