“We wanted an intimate wedding ceremony and reception and found Public House! Their garden room was perfect! Beautifully decorated, enough space for our 25 guests. The event coordinator, Taylor, was amazing throughout the entire process including the day of the wedding! Chef Darius was accommodating to our wants and needs and even suggested some of his own ideas! Everything turned out amazing and we had beautiful pictures in-front of their flower wall! Heather, the manager, was attentive and professional from the initial meeting about renting the space, all of the planning and throughout the event. All of the staff were so fun and kind! They kept everything organized and the drinks flowing during the reception. We had a wonderful experience here and we are so glad we chose this as our venue! Being as my 1st drink was gin I asked for my second drink to be gin based with mint and whatever he decided it to be.

The craft that he showed I was mesmerized by it watching him place certain ingredients asking me is this okay and what I don’t like I told him im open to trying new things. Definitely recommend everyone to come here!!

“My husband and I went to Shift yesterday for dinner and it was fantastic. Scott and Matt provided great service. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I got 2 drinks (the color red and the espresso martini) and had the shift fries and lamb lollipops. My husband also ordered the filet tips and lamb lollipops. It was all excellent. We also happened to come during happy hour and they had live music. We will definitely be back for more.“

“As we approached the door to Willow Cocktail bar, the doorman opened the door for us and bade us welcome. Catherine, the hostess, greeted us warmly and explained there was a small wait to allow the staff time to catch up. After about a 10 minute wait, she thanked us for our patience and seated us in a comfortable corner table. She then promptly brought us glasses of water. Chris, our server, checked in with us promptly. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The cocktails were truly innovative and delicious. “We walked in to the Buhl Bar and where greeted by George and Aish they where both so friendly and so full of information. Had to get our 2nd drink from the bar, even when I got up to tell her we needed another round. Mind you there are 4 of us. We were with our wives. Then at least 40 minutes after placing our order, she came up and wanted to verify our order? I asked if she even put it in yet and she said yes. Then why ask? Then found someone to talk to, owner, manager, not sure didnt introduce there self. Said waitress was new and that there were wi fi problems so the order didnt go thru. A bunch of excuses, just own up to it. We just wanted to eat! Anyway once they made the food it was quick and delicious. No complaints other then the total service. The barmaid seemed really good as she was waiting on tables also. If we had her I would of given a 5“

“Our second visit to Bar Pigalle was outstanding. Our baked oysters appetizer was excellent. We considered ordering another! The seared mackerel and the duck confit were our entree choices and the were both excellent. Cocktails were fantastic. Both our selections were complex and delicious. “Went for my fiancée’s birthday. First time ever going. Brandon was our server, only way I knew is the hostess told us—he was awful. Kept snorting up snot or something every time he came to the table. Never introduced himself, never told us about the menu, nothing. Waited 25 minutes for water. The cocktails we had were nice. Well balanced. We ordered steak tartare and deviled eggs for appetizers-the steak was very salty. Wasn’t expecting such a large amount of food, with such small amount of accompaniments (four VERY hard pieces of baguette…). Fiancee said the eggs were good, but also salty. Ordered steaks for dinner. The steaks were masterfully cooked, and the sauces were wonderful. And the side of mushrooms were great too. Our server was very ‘rushed’ to get us out of there. Didn’t even ask about dessert or after dinner drinks…

Would we come back, probably. Wouldn’t let that Brandon guy wait on us again. He was awful.“

- Absinthe experience: Waitstaff is very knowledgeable and it’s fun to watch. It’s STRONG and herby.
- Decor: Almost everything was custom build or original historical pieces.

Overall, this place is super comfortable and is the definition of a clean, classy pub/bar. It’s full of creativity and personality.

If you want history, the waitstaff can walk you through the renovations and history of the building going back to when it became the iconic Jacoby’s in 1904 and further to when it used to be a blacksmith shop and being originally built in the 1800’s.

“Ate in the lounge and had fantastic service. Lovely wood smoke smell in the place. Tried 4 different red wine between my wife and I, all terrific. The small plates we tried were all excellent. My favorite was the whipped salted cod and my wife loved the maitake mushrooms. The mains were also great, the halibut was our favorite. The sherry for dessert was great.

Overall, a surprisingly good meal with fun and knowledgeable wait staff. Best meal I e had had in a good while.“

The kitchen is open for fried chicken and fish which you can savor on the patio or at a table. This bar is pulsing with excitement on Friday night; standing room only and parking gets expired around 11. It's small in size but big on entertainment. Cash bar of course.“
