Generally speaking, the food at Chen's is very good. I particularly enjoy their shrimp egg foo young and their fried wontons. Portions are a good size, and the cooks are conscientious of allergy concerns. My out-of-town friends like Chen's food, and this is where it becomes embarrassing. The restaurant interior is absolutely filthy - it is downright gross. For such a successful restaurant, there is absolutely no need for this. Vegetarian fried rice add extra tofu & mushrooms. Spicy. Tell woman at counter that you have a meat allergy and it will all be cooked in pans that have no meat grease. Add those couple packs of soy sauce they include. Best fried rice dish in the world, ever. Eating this dish is a blissfull experience. It is so, so satisfying. Huge portions, no leftovers.
Their food is great, usually about 10-15 mins for takeout. Beef lo mein is delicious!
