First off I want to start by saying I am not from around this place. Was not used to the type of bar this was but walking in first reaction was this place is super dark could not see a thing but I was starving and needed something to eat. Service was ok but could be better the place was very busy and understaffed. I started with the mozzarella sticks which I will admit I do not usually like mozzarella sticks like that but I did enjoy these. I usually like breaded more than battered but these were good. Then me and my father both ordered burgers which we were told they were the best thing on the menu. The burger was dry not much to it and I would not say that was a great burger. The fries were not very good ethier. The problem is they had an inconsistent taste some were delicious some were not. I would not go here again but if this is your style then do.

I have lived in the area for several years, and drive past Dagwoods almost daily but had never tried it until yesterday. Wonderful food at a great price with great staff. I am personally not much of a sports fan so I didn't get anything out of having the games on, but I know that the main crowd is people watching various athletic events. Not my scene, but if you expect to go into a sports bar on a friday night and not have a game on, you are going to the wrong place! Food was great. We ordered the quintessential bar meal: a burger and fries, which was just spectacular. Two people getting a delicious meal for $18 bucks is unheard of in this city, but it happened here! We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Food is delicious, but when the place is packed the service can get dicey. Can't recommend their delicious and affordable burgers enough.

In the time it took us to get food, a man next to us who was seated 15 minutes after we were seated received his food, ate, and left before we got ours. I get it there are regulars but you won’t grow your business giving them preferential treatment. Oh, and we both ordered the same lunch special he had. A table of 6 across from us that arrived after us also got their food after we did. Annoyed.

Food is ah-mazing! It's classic bar-food - so good and so cheap ? Drinks take a while, even when they're not too busy. Great dive bar atmosphere though ?

The 5 for “atmosphere” is based on the fact that this is what it is… an “old school bar”. Not fancy, just iconic. Great burgers, fries, rings, and several “not your usual” apps. Friendly place with unbeatable prices. A Lansing landmark.

A Lansing staple everyone should experience. The food is great bar food, the service is awesome, and you will feel why Lansing loves this place as soon as you walk in.

Dag's may not have the most sophisticated menu or venue but they have solid bar food, service and ambiance! We have been regulars of Dagwood's for quite some time...we can always depend on them for comforting and tasty and fresh bar food favs, amazing staff, and friendly community members. Whether you saddle up at the bar or take a booth or high top you will experience good energy and whatever local sporting event is in season. It's the best dive bar in the area...a must if you're into that type of thing! Xoxo!

I asked for a side of ketchup with my burger and the owner came out and shot me in the chest.

Good place to sit at the bar for a burger and brew!

Someone should turn Dagwood into Firewood, and for no other reason than the fact that this joint is FIRE. I'm just suggesting a name change because my experience was lit. What I'm saying is, you better be wearing your long jumpers when you roll up on this future CSI crime scene. The food is quality fresh, the price inflationless, and the kegs are always barking. One of the best places in town. There's not enough space for all the locals and nobodys going to turn around, as they can't because the road is closed due to construction. BUT, nor would they want to anyways. This place pumps out that sweet heat similar to how a bump stock works. It looks ordinary from a distance but it's packing quite a surprise when your within range. Promise, you pull the trigger on this place once and your leaving in a body bag. I consumed way to much good food and beer for the little amount of money I spent. Bring your friends and prepare to have a great time.

Used to frequent this place with my dad years back. To this day, the food is as good and now I can enjoy some of their drinks! Great staff, atmosphere, and food! Their fries are the best!
