We had a really rough week recently—our daughter had been in the hospital, our fridge went out, we were running on zero sleep, and work had been stressful. On the way home, we stopped at Portillo’s in Livonia for a late lunch, just trying to get through the day.

The Italian Beef & Sausage is awesome. SERIOUSLY! THE TASE IS SECOND TO NONE OTHER AROUND. The secret in the Sausage is the Fenel Seed. Unmistakable delicious. The peppers, side of cheese snd fries.. and a ice cold Coca Cola fountain Drink.
Yes I drive from Lansing, MI just to get a small taste of home and dang it they don't ever disappoint. Staff is always smiling, always polite, and they always let me tell them about Chicago lol. Visited on Sunday night and the staff was just amazing. My food was hot, my drank was frosty, that dam chocolate cake was hitting like Tyson.
